It had been over twenty-four hours since the infiltration. The Malnosso were notorious for their long work hours, many pulling twenty hour shifts at any given time. Fortunately, each department had its share of private resting areas with beds to allow the overworked staff - or infiltrators - get some much needed shut eye between tasks. But now there allies were arriving. All the information they had gathered and sabotaged planned was about to go into play. Would they be successful?

As for the kidnapped, John's pill was finally starting to cancel out the effects of the drugs. Already brighter and more alert than before, it would soon be time for their escape and either flee or help their comrades storm the building.

The front line attackers had met with their strategist before the battle and were now positioned in the forested area around the facility, out of sight and mind for the Malnosso inside. All they needed was the sign to attack from their person inside.

OOC Notes: Note that when the front liners attack, security checkpoints and Shifting should be disabled. For those curious about Floor 3, there is still no access to it. HOWEVER, there is no longer a Shift protecting it. If any character is reckless or foolish enough to access it, do so while considering the possibility of your character being seriously injured (or even killed!) in what ensues.

To recap: read Albert's OOC marching orders. Security guards are armed with short swords, night sticks, and hand guns. Most have normal human abilities, but higher ranked guards in high security areas will be highly skilled and may possess some amount of superhuman strength and speed. The Malnosso droids/drones all possess superhuman strength and speed. Since everyone is at full power, they are at 'half strength' relative to what people are used to. Brute strength and strong electrical attacks will be effective on them. It's also possible the infiltrators will keep most of them from ever activating to respond to the attack. They are not invincible and with enough effort, people should be able to handle them.
Note: Thanks to the infiltrators, most of the drones have been disabled and won't activate during the alarm. A small number will be present, but no more than twenty at the most.

Finally, going back to Floor 3, there will be a separate thread within the log for that. If someone attempts to enter it after the battle, I'll setup the scenario there for people to interact with.

[Wait. She's kidding, right? Come on. She has to be kidding. He's already halfway across this corridor when he realizes she isn't following.]

Look, I'll tell you what happened later. Heck, I can even tell you who to apologize to. She probably won't care much. But right now, let's get moving.

[Not kidding. Oh, how she wishes she were. Only the promise to tell her later makes her move again, but she hangs her head as she catches up to him.]

[Okay, now that's just weird. She's actually going to be sad about it now? And not say something condescendingly smart or anything? Color him suspicious. Unfortunately, he can't just lead her around moping.]

Where do we go next? I was kind of drugged the last time I was in this corridor.

[Very sad. But fortunately necessity is making her keep moving and even lead the way. She nods.]

It's this way.

[Following now.]

I guess we're not going for the 'blending in' thing now. [He says as he takes note of her clothes, which are very much not Malnosso standard.]

Eh? Ah- I thought, since things are already like this, it might be better to be ready for battle.

Or you could just fight them in uniform, like me. [He gives his sword a little twirl.]

See? I don't even have to change my hair color.

Mm... Maybe, but, I feel more confident about it like this.

[... weird.]

Suit yourself. [There's a bend in the corridor. He presses himself up against the wall and peers down it.]

Three guards. They seem to be distracted. Probably our friends outside.

[No weirder than her habit of wearing glasses she doesn't need.]

What do you want to do?

[She can change back if he wants to sneak by]

[What he wouldn't give for Boomerang now. This building was bigger inside than he had anticipated. But all he had was this sword, his club, and that gun. He holds it up and regards it. Well... this couldn't possibly go bad.]

Don't worry, I know how to use one of these.

[He goes out into the corridor and fires off several rounds. When he fails to hit any of them and they start shooting back, he runs back to cover beside her.]

Okay, maybe that wasn't such a good idea! [They're STILL shooting!]

[Her turn.]

Shine Aqua Illusion!

[The water-based attack rebounds from the distant wall towards its target]

When the gunshots suddenly cease, Sokka looks around the corner again. Oh, well, that took care of that.]

Okay, let's go. [He continues down the hallway, saying nothing of her special bender skills.]

[Benders do it better, baby.]

Right.

[Mercury hurries alongside Sokka.]

It's not far to the exit, but, but now... more and more guards will probably keep coming.

[As soon as they get to the elevator, Sokka goes to hit the button to bring it down. Fortunately he's read about them. What he never read about was how flimsy they were, because he puts a hole in the wall where that button was.]

... err. Maybe we should take the stairs.

[Blink blink]

Amazing strength...

Not really, this stuff must be made of paper or something. Which way are the stairs?

[She's pretty sure the materials were normal.... But she shakes her head quickly to clear it.]

This way!

[And he follows after her, still a little puzzled over what just happened.]

How did you know where to hit those guys, anyway? You didn't even see them.

I'm a soldier. I guess you could say that I sensed them.

[And she's not even the most impressive one; that'd be Rei or maybe Venus.]

You know, technically soldiers don't get a special 'sense' for that. I've met my share of them and none of them ever mentioned having a special 'bad guy sense'.

[Oh here's the stairs. Now they just get to go up four flights.]

[Their resistance to brainwashing (no, really; hers had been a special case and not run-of-the-mill low-level mind tricks from a youma) and energy-draining is explained by soldier power, too, Sokka. Just accept it.]

It sounds unbelievable, I guess.

[and up they go!]

I do have some warrior senses. Like, when someone's trying to kill me, I avoid getting hit. I always thought that came in handy.

[He will accept NOTHING! And just keep climbing those stairs.]

[Killjoy. Climb, climb, climb]

Hunter senses too. Those are pretty good. I can use those to- [That railing he was holding in to just broke in two. Okay, that was weird. He lets it just fall harmlessly to the stairs below.]
