What: More event stuff

Small favors. [But he isn't going to overload Caesar when he is carrying the axe, so he has to stop him before he picks up too many.] It will make fixing the door easier, at least.

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
I'm feeling charitable! [Albert doesn't have to tell him twice to stop, though. He was trying to be helpful... while avoiding having to come back for too much more. But these things were heavier than they looked.] I hope so. But it's odd, don't you think? It started and stopped so suddenly.
chikaidestroyer: (Nonchalance)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-29 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
It's been a strange experiment as it is, with all of these different effects happening simultaneously. [He heads towards the house ... and through the broken doorway.] Perhaps we should make use of that plant growth power of yours before that disappears, too.

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Caesar follows after him and makes a face at Albert's 'suggestion'. Mustn't drop these branches...]

Y-you're not serious, are you? I already said you can starve.
chikaidestroyer: (Ahem...)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-29 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
[Considering Albert is facing away from Caesar, it must be difficult to see the smirk on his face.] I suppose that means you will starve as well. Alas. [He opens the closet door in the foyer, setting the new firewood in one corner of the large storage before moving to the side to let Caesar do the same.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Too bad. [Caesar follows after him and drops the firewood down with the rest. He's not concerned with keeping things neat.] And you're still a jerk. Alas.
chikaidestroyer: (Patiently explaining)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-29 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
[And since Albert can't leave the mess alone, he sets about straightening the firewood that Caesar dropped.] Go back outside and pick up the rest of the firewood. Leave the axe here.

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-29 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I've got it. [He sets the axe aside to... wherever happens to be the most convenient. And he heads out to go and pick up the rest of the wood, just like Albert asked. He should be able to handle what was left himself, right? ...he hoped so. He didn't want to make another trip.]
chikaidestroyer: (Thoughtful frown)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
[Consider it a light punishment for being something of a slob, Caesar. Albert even sets the axe in a different place -- where it's less likely to fall over and hurt someone opening the door.

But they still had to head over to the plaza and get some replacement hinges.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Fortunately, Caesar doesn't consider it a punishment at all, or he wouldn't have agreed to go back. He returns with... most of the wood that was left. Not all of it. Maybe Albert wouldn't notice that he had to leave some of it behind, even if it wouldn't be a surprise because Caesar is weak.

He puts these branches down a bit more neatly than the last ones. He's had a chance to forgive Albert for being a jerk, apparently.]

There.
chikaidestroyer: (While others take the spotlight)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
Good. [Not a complimentary "good job," but he supposes Caesar did a satisfactory job despite the distractions along the way.] I'll retrieve one of the hinges and we'll be on our way. [Which means he has to dig around in the closet for a screwdriver before heading for the door.]

Perhaps you can find something for yourself while we are out.

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
[He nods at the first part, brushing the dirt off the sleeves of his coat while Albert has fun looking for that screwdriver.]

Find something for myself?
chikaidestroyer: (Contemplative)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 08:39 am (UTC)(link)
Make the trip worthwhile. [Trying to make this a little less bothersome for him so he won't complain.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think I need anything. [He tilts his head as he considers this... or why Albert could be suggesting it. No way it could have anything to do with his complaining, not at all.]
chikaidestroyer: (Patiently explaining)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
Think about it. [Maybe that will keep him busy ... for all of five seconds. Once he has a screwdriver, Albert goes over to the door and removes one of the broken hinges.] Better boots? Earmuffs?

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 09:06 am (UTC)(link)
[...earmu—]

I-I don't need any of those things!

[But as he shuts the door to the closet... Hm. Maybe it would be good to be prepared in case of another snowball fight? Or if he fell asleep outside again. He's thinking about it now.]
chikaidestroyer: (Default)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
It's something to think about. [Which is all he's hoping for in the short term. He heads down the porch and starts off into the snow, deciding to take the long way on the road rather than cut through the forest and deeper snow.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Taking the long way? That's just asking for complaining. ...except not yet, because walking isn't so bad compared to something like, say, chopping wood. So he follows after him, still thinking about what he may or may not need.]

What about you? It would be troublesome if I'm the only one getting something we didn't go for.
chikaidestroyer: (Default)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
Why would it be troublesome? I'm repairing something I broke, so this is necessary. [Such a logical answer.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
[Take your logic and get out of here, bro.] But if I get something I don't need, wouldn't that be troublesome?
chikaidestroyer: (Nonchalance)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-11-30 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be looking for something you need, and you will be finding something to make it worth your time, since you are accompanying me. Understand?

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm supposed to be helping you. I think it is already worth my time.
chikaidestroyer: (Possibly inattentive)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-12-01 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
I appreciate your sense of duty. [Not that the sarcasm would reveal that. His shoes crunch through the snow, but he's fairly quiet as they approach the plaza. After a quick glance that the different buildings, he heads for the furniture and miscellaneous items store.]

[identity profile] mydearapple.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 08:56 am (UTC)(link)
Of course you do. [Less sarcastic, but it's hard to tell whether he's serious or not. He continues to follow Albert, also relatively quiet on their way to the store. His brother would have a better idea what they were looking for, right? Like Caesar knew what was needed to fix a door.]
chikaidestroyer: (Before I ignore you)

[personal profile] chikaidestroyer 2010-12-01 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Oh Caesar. This is why you're never going to increase that Handyman skill. Albert takes out the removed hinge to look for a similar one. It's a good thing the stores have been fairly organized so they aren't out there for the rest of the day.

But he'll glance over in Caesar's direction once in awhile to see what he's up to.]
