WHO WANTS PRESENTS?

Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: Getting unexpected gifts
When: From 6 PM on the 23rd until midnight of the 27th
Where: The central plaza and the fountain
Summary: Hey, that's a rather interesting-looking button at the bottom of that statue. I wonder what happens if I press it?
Rating: No higher than PG-13, I hope.

[Anyone passing through the center of town this evening will have a very hard time missing that large golden Santa statue that has suddenly appeared in the fountain. But... wait, isn't that Bil instead of Santa? Somehow, that isn't exactly a surprise.

But perhaps the most interesting feature of the statue is the large button at its base. Will you press it?]

[He nods.] Yeah. They totally always bring good luck and then you eat the carp for Christmas. [But sob, he's never been able to.]

[...] So you're going to eat him in a few days?

[identity profile] polishrule.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
...Um yeah. [HE CAN'T.]

[identity profile] applehair.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I suppose if it's tradition. What made the carp be considered good luck?

[identity profile] polishrule.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't remember. But they're good luck. Hey, want a scale? Everybody totally gets a scale for the year.

[identity profile] applehair.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that also for good luck?

[identity profile] polishrule.livejournal.com 2010-12-26 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! You put it in your wallet or pocket or drawer or something and it's totally good for the next year until you get another scale.

If you wouldn't mind sharing one, I'd love to have a piece. I can keep it in Zen's pocketwatch.

[She nods, digging into her pockets and pulling one out to show Poland which mun is too lazy to search in the manga for. It was the type that had a cover that flips open, so she could always store the scale inside.] This one.

[He looks at it and nods. It looked nice and the perfect kind of pocketwatch for a scale. Apparently there are certain types for that.] Yeah, that'll work!

[identity profile] applehair.livejournal.com 2010-12-27 04:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Then it's settled. [She smiles, putting it back in her pocket.]
