Summary: Everyone becomes that which they love, covet, adore, or otherwise desire, and it ends exceptionally well for every single person involved. Hooray!
Rating: Who even knows. Anywhere from G to R, I would suppose.

No cut for this -- this is a MASS INTERACTION POST for the You Are What You Love event! For those of you who don't want to have to post up actual entries in your characters' journals (though you are of course still free to do that), this is the place to be all week if you just want to toss out random shenanigans! (Or more serious shenanigans. Or whatever brand of shenanigans you prefer, really.) There's no real need to state your date/location in the subject line of your tag, but you may feel free to do so!

I fail to see the point of this.

There might not be one. I'm not entirely convinced that our suffering isn't enough motivation for the Malnosso's actions.

[Homura comes up beside the girl, then watches her for a moment.]

If that is the case, then it's better not to focus on it--though clearly difficult.

[Knives gets up shakily and then starts to walk barefoot past Homura, ignoring what the strange human-looking woman said. He knew that in this place you couldn't be sure if someone was human or not. Right now he just wanted clothing and for this to be over.]

The village is this way, correct?

[Well, so much for sympathy. Homura grins, though Rinrei's expression lacks the smugness that his would normally hold.]

Indeed. Although, if you truly wish not to be bothered, you should prepare yourself. A lost child, barely dressed, in the cold? You'll have more concerned citizens than you know what to do with.

What I wish for is appropriate clothing. [He does not care if Homura follows or if anyone bothers him, he'll just ignore them.]

As you wish it, then.

[And now you've pinged Homura's interest. Sorry Knives, but he's just one of those who likes to push. So he does follow, and after a few minutes, asks rather casually.]

Who is she?

[He glances at Homura passively.]

[And Homura smiles rather easily--and more cheerfully than he intends.]

Perhaps not. But I am still curious.

[A derisive snort.]

[Homura is unphased. Aside from the fact that this is a child's form, he's had more than his fair share of experience being looked down upon. But since this person is sharing, Homura decides to take the opportunity to test the structure of this experiment. Between who he's turned into, and Knives' earlier reaction, he's fairly certain about his next guess.]

And she's dead, correct?

[Knives just keeps walking and doesn't bother to even look at Homura.]

[Aw, but silence is telling too. Enough to confirm what Homura's suspecting, at least. So he'll push a little harder.]

Who killed her?

[That, he has no problem sharing.]

Humans.

[Now that's interesting, considering the human-hate Homura saw on the journals not all that long ago.]

That's very general. Are all humans guilty of this crime?

[You may very well be talking to the catalyst for said human-hate.]

[Considering that he was talking to Legato, that is definitely the case. But Homura didn't learn any names, so for now, he'll question a bit more.]

I know several humans who would object to that assumption. But tell me, what are they like, then?

They are parasites that leech off others. They take what they desire without regard of what they damage in the process.

[Homura laughs softly at that.] That's hardly a trait attibutable only to humans, you know. But it's also not a universal trait among them.

There are always exceptions, though they might seem difficult to find.
