Summary: Everyone becomes that which they love, covet, adore, or otherwise desire, and it ends exceptionally well for every single person involved. Hooray!
Rating: Who even knows. Anywhere from G to R, I would suppose.

No cut for this -- this is a MASS INTERACTION POST for the You Are What You Love event! For those of you who don't want to have to post up actual entries in your characters' journals (though you are of course still free to do that), this is the place to be all week if you just want to toss out random shenanigans! (Or more serious shenanigans. Or whatever brand of shenanigans you prefer, really.) There's no real need to state your date/location in the subject line of your tag, but you may feel free to do so!

[Vash speaks softly, more to himself.]

It's wrong. It's not the truth. [Not HIS truth.]

[Knives makes a disgusted sound and walks over to the changing area. His feet are bleeding a little and he's done talking about Tessla while trapped in her body. He turns to give Vash another piercing look and speaks again with a deadly tone.]

I know what I saw. And I will never forgive them.

Even... even if it was true. [Which it's NOT.] It's not right, to blame everyone for the mistakes of a few. They're not all the same person.

[But there is something that can be taken care of now.] You need to take care of your feet. [Today has been so emotional, he's not sure if he can really fight with you anymore today.]

[Glare. It IS true, you fool. But Knives' expression is just unyielding at the first part.] All humans are alike.

[He doesn't bother glancing down at his feet. He just 'hmphs' dismissively.] That is why I am putting shoes on.

They are not all the same.

[A pause.] You should bandage and clean them out. You don't know what you might have step in.

[He just gives a long suffering glare at the first part.]

I can take care of myself, Vash. [Though he actually has no clue where to get those kinds of supplies to tend to himself, he can figure it out.]

[There is one good thing about still having his own coat. He reaches into it and takes out the small first aid kit he carries. It's a good idea to keep one of these on you at all time and well stocked when you're an outlaw.

He's just going to hold it up and wave it when you come out of that changing room.]

[Knives comes out, still barefoot, but in warm clothes that are the right size, at least. He stops in his tracks when he sees the first aid kit.]

Would you like to borrow this? [Here, he'll even make it even and won't make you ask.]

[Knives holds out a hand after a minute, palm face-up to accept it.]

I am still myself despite this body. [He says blandly. Yes, he notices your abundance of kindness and took a stab at why.]

Ah-AHHH! Of course you are! I know that. [Caught.]

[But he's still going to lecture you, even if you look cuter.] You should give the people here a chance Knives.

[Knives sits down in a nearby chair and starts to clean and bandage the cuts. He acts completely unconcerned with what Vash is saying.]

I have. [It's partly true. Vash didn't say 'humans' and not everyone here is human.]

There are good people here, Knives. You'll see.

[Knives continues to bandage his feet, nearly done. He flashes a glare at Vash.]

That line is starting to get old.

Well it's true. I've made a lot of good friends here Knives. I think you'd be surprise how happy you'll be if you let them be your friend.

[Knives finishes and starts putting on shoes.]

Happy? That is not my concern. My priorities are far more important than happiness.

To protect the plants? You don't need to do that here. So why don't you give making some friends a try?

[The shoes are on and now he's getting up, intending to walk past you and out of this conversation.]

Your understanding of my reasons for what I do have always been limited. It is not that simple, Vash. [An eerie smile and a low, malevolent tone.] One day you will understand.

[Vash doesn't like that smile at all.] Do you know Knives? The main reason I lent you my first aid kit? The last thing Rem told me was to take care of you.

She told me that because she loved you. We can get along with humans again. Are you really going to try to forget how happy we use to be? [Or did you ever think Rem's voice could sound so painfully angry?]

[He watches Vash passively as he makes his little speech.]

She was a fool and so are you. [He hands the first-aid kit back and walks past towards the door.]

Rem was no fool. She was a good person who only wanted to love and take care of us. [He takes that first aid kit back and makes no move to stop you. He's too upset now to ask rational questions. Thinking about the last day with Rem while in her body hadn't done himself any favors.]

[Knives ignores Vash and walks out the door.]
