No cut for this -- this is a MASS INTERACTION POST for the You Are What You Love event! For those of you who don't want to have to post up actual entries in your characters' journals (though you are of course still free to do that), this is the place to be all week if you just want to toss out random shenanigans! (Or more serious shenanigans. Or whatever brand of shenanigans you prefer, really.) There's no real need to state your date/location in the subject line of your tag, but you may feel free to do so!

Hm...well, Navi's your friend, right? Maybe it has something to do with that.

So people turn into friends? [Hmm.] That's weird. I wonder if I'll turn into Saria or Tsuzuki or Sh-- or anyone else?

Hm...if that's the case, I'll turn into Kain or Cecil, most likely.

I don't think I've met them. Are they here?

Oh, yes. They've been here a while--Cecil, multiple times. It's hard to mistake them for anyone else, either. Kain wears dragon-style armor and Cecil has the attire of a paladin.

[At least, usually. She couldn't help but smile upon thinking about Cecil in her clothing, since he was now in Rosa's body.]

Oh... I might have seen them around! I don't think I've talked to them, though... what's a paladin?

A paladin is a holy knight. They use white magic spells, to heal people and defend them.

Oh - they sound cool! I know some spells, but they're not really the same... and I know healing stuff from Nala.

[She raises an eyebrow, curious.]

What other magic do you know?

Well, I know stuff here from Nala and Kipinn and Faeren, and I know some stuff from home - Din's Fire makes a big ball of fire, Farore's Wind teleports you, and Nayru's Love makes a shield. And I can use magic arrows.

I never thought of wind to teleport people. I'd like to see that, sometime. And...magic arrows?

Well, it's kinda weird! You use it to set up a place, and then you use it again to go back there. So it's really good if you need to go back somewhere later! And the arrows are fire arrows, ice arrows, and light arrows. The light arrows are really important, I had to use them to stop Ganondorf.

[Rydia smiles.]

That reminds me of my good friend, Rosa. She's an archer and uses magic arrows, too.

Really? Is she here? I still use my sword more, but I use my bow a lot! I can't use the magic ones too much, though, it gets really tiring. [Especially with the power cap :| ]

I know what you mean. Magic just isn't as powerful here as it is at home, or outside this stupid barrier.

...and no, she's not here. She was, but they sent her back.

Oh... maybe she'll come back one day!

Maybe she will, but she is safer at home so it's hard to wish for that.

I guess... will you see her again? It's okay if you will.

[She smiles and nods.]

One day, I will. Even if it's not here, it will happen.

Do you want to ride on my shoulder?

Yeah... it'll happen one day! Thanks.

[And he'll drop down lightly - his weight is barely there, although the glow might be distracting.] My wings are getting tired!

[She pats him gently--very gently, not wanting to knock him off.]

It's okay. I made friends with some sylphs back home. I let them ride on my shoulders, too, sometimes.

[He is very small now (and vaguely feminine, if Rydia looks very closely), but the pat isn't too rough.] Are sylphs like fairies?

[She nods.]

As far as I can guess. At home, I could summon them in battle. They would steal the enemy's energy and heal me and the others with it.

Oh, that's weird... there's healing fairies in Hyrule, but I don't think they steal energy from monsters. [He thinks. The real Navi would know, wouldn't she?] They saved my life a couple of times!

I wish I could meet them, Link.
