[Luke, none the wiser, stops a few feet away with not just a smile, but a grin. omg it's JADE! The gang's all heeeere!

But with Jade's outburst, Luke chuckles helplessly and reaches up to scratch his cheek.]

About that... I- [Wait. That smile falls away as he glances up at him again.] ... What do you mean "I'm mistaken"?

[...This is definitely not Asch. Not Asch at all. He almost shouldn't have been surprised when the boy actually smiled, after all. But if it's not Asch, then who else? It was one of Jade's bunch, and somehow he doubted it was the women (seeing as how Anise was a bag of gald after all, aahaha~). So that left Guy or the replica.]

...Really, this mistaken identity is getting tiresome. It's Dist, Asch. I've been deposited into Jade's body...much to my dislike. I can only hope no one here is parading around in my body.

[Now, normally? Normally, Dist would scowl or give a dry look in response to that face there, but seeing Asch with anything other than his perpetual scowl gets him to snicker. This experiment is getting more amusing by the second!]

Really? To be honest, I wasn't aware Asch could make any other face than the one that seemed like he inhaled a lemon. Yet I stand corrected... [Okay, time for seriousness. Dist's a little concerned, what with Asch's possible condition.] ...May I ask how you're feeling? Besides awkward, of course.

[SCOWLING. Even if it is kind of funny. But the concern makes that scowl fade into a more neutral expression, if exasperated and maybe even a little sad.]

[Dist watches that expression very carefully, trying very hard to assess if Luke was telling the truth or not. Deciding he was indeed being truthful, the man merely sighed and nodded his head.]

Well, the feeling of crawling into a hole is mutual on my end, and perhaps all those who have also been altered, let me assure you. If you begin feeling anything else, anything at all, I still want you to contact me immediately.

Hm...Asch isn't in your body at all, is he?

[All Luke does is shoot Dist a withering look before he glances away again. Man. It kind of... hurts, to have Jade's voice agree with him.]

[That look, it is unsettling coming from Asch's body. Dist glances away, feeling more uncomfortable than he already was, and didn't look back save for a few sidelong glances.]

I see...I had wanted to know how this would affect you and Asch's connection, if you can contact him....or produce a working hyperresonance.

Of course not! [Okay, let's try a little less rude. A little.] Not until I know what the consequences and hazards could be, I don't want you to try anything. If you aren't in perfect control of your hyerresonane like Asch is...I won't go into details, but it's extremely dangerous. You are not to experiment on your own, either, do I make myself clear, boy?

[Remember Akzeriuth, Luke? Yeah, Dist's kind of picturing that worst case scenario. Hence why he is giving you an order right now.]

[Oh yes, he remembers it, hence why there's a flash of something in his eyes before he clenches his fists and takes a step forward, and all that's there is rage.]

Don't you think I know that?! I just meant I could try to contact him, like he does to me!

[For a very brief instant, the Jade impostor honestly looks a littler fearful. Dist knows not to piss off Asch on any occasion, after all, it's dangerous. However, not one to be easily pushed around either, Dist glowers right back at Luke. Considering he's in Jade's body...well, he certainly looks menacing himself.]

Do you?! I'm beginning to wonder... But fine, try it. If you or Asch happen to die in the next minute or so, however, don't expect my help!

[And Luke... happens to be meeker than Asch, so while the look "Jade" gives just makes Luke grit his teeth harder, what he says makes his jaw relax and his eyes slowly widen. His body starts to loosen after that, until he takes a step back and looks down at the ground.

He doesn't want to kill Asch, even accidentally...]

[...Sigh. At least this didn't escalate into a shouting match, though seeing Asch's face look so timid, again, is disturbing. He rubs his eyes to quell some of his frustration, then mutters, quickly.]

Try contacting him, if you can, but do so with care. If Asch is in your body, it's possible you could injure him, and your body, somewhat by contacting him without being cautious. [Those headaches you hate, Luke? Yeah, he's talking about those, but on a much larger scale. Basically, please don't give your original brain damage or anything, he's nutty enough already.]
