What: It's Ragna's birthday!?
When: March 3rd; afternoon.
Where: The fountain, I guess.
Summary: Making up!? Ragna and Noel grow up a little!
Rating: G or PG
[It's been about a day or so now after the draft, and Noel's been taking her time to settle back into her normal schedule... or rather, what she's trying to grow accustomed to since staying at House 48. How long has it been now? A week? She may be overstaying her welcome, she thinks, so it may be time to leave soon. But where does Noel go?
... Probably back to what she was doing right before Tsubaki offered her a place to stay. Well. That's... mostly fine. Maybe Noel can just settle in one place. Anyhow, she's out and about walking Sol. The weather's progressively getting warmer, thankfully, so it seemed like a good idea for Noel to take him out. It's not like she's been able to spend time with him since the draft.
But she'll probably return to the house in a while. For now, she'll let Sol lead the way.who's walking who?

And Ragna isn't exactly a touchy-feely kind of guy, so trying to figure out how to handle that wasn't an easy task. He's still kind of in the process of it, though things have been distracting him from the matter at hand as of late. Therefore, Ragna needed a break from all this thinking and trying to be nice.
It was his birthday today, and if he was right (because Luceti can only skewer one's sense of time
lol canon update) he was turning twenty-four today. He might as well treat himself to something nice, so he went to go fetch himself an ice cream cone.On his way back to CH7, he just happens across the sight of Noel. It makes him stop in his tracks, ice cream cone held close to his face. What should he say? Should he even bother, what with how the last encounter went?
...
Yeah, it's now or never. He has to set shit straight. Ragna does do better when thinking on his feet. Sometimes. Usually not with words. Dammit. Whatever. One ground-to-Noel Ragna torpedo, incoming.]

S-Sol!? [Having trouble keeping up here. Noel continues having issues trying to control the overgrown puppy until--]

[Ragna.
She stares, dumbfounded, as Sol jumps on the friend he missed so much.]

...
Ice cream cooone noooooo.]

So much for that ice cream...He'll manage with Sol for now, petting him or whatever. At least it'll give him time to procrastinate and try to figure out how to start talking to Noel. It's not easy, after all.He might even be avoiding eye contact with her right now.]

Damn, that was some delicious looking ice cream. If there weren't a dog in their presence, this scene would be much more awkward. But it's still awkward.
Luckily, Noel manages to get Sol off by tugging the leash a bit. Now she just needs to find a way to control his excitedness.] S-Sol, bad! [...] I'm... sorry.
no subject
And it's gone to a waste, and it's all your fault, Noel. For shaaaame. It doesn't need to be more awkward. That would ruin everything.Ragna just sits on the ground, sitting up and glancing from Sol to Noel, then to his fallen ice cream cone, and back to Noel. Sure, it's a wasted little treat that he was giving himself for his birthday, but he'll live with out it. There's just more pressing matters at hand, and now he's done averting his gaze.
They need to talk.] It's fine, it's not like you could have stopped it. He's getting pretty big.
no subject
She wants to leave, but at the same time... she kind of doesn't. It's a weird, conflicting sort of thing for her. But alas, it doesn't look like Sol will let her go anywhere right now, so she's stuck.]
...he has, hasn't he?
no subject
But he's not trying to be. He'd offer her a hand but, well... Sol. So, with a sigh:] Noel. We really need to talk.
no subject
There's a feeling of dread when he tells her they "really need to talk," assuming that this will only be a repeat of their "talk" over the journals... only now, it's in-person.
She hesitates to speak at first.] Is it what I think it is?
no subject
[Is that promising? He hopes so. At the very least, once he gets that off his chest, he quickly extends his hand out to Noel. She can take it so he can help her up, or she can hand him Sol's leash so he could at least keep the damned dog still. Her choice.]
no subject
[Yes. You were a big jackass. But you weren't the only one being a huge jerk.
She's not taking the hand just yet.]
no subject
If I didn't need to say, then too bad. I just did. What are you gonna do about it? [He's trying to admit that he fucked up the last time they spoke, don't ruin it.]
no subject
Listen. You... You said some pretty mean things back there, and I was mad, but... this my fault, too.
no subject
[He reaffirms that his hand is outstretched to her by moving it a little. Even though he's been thinking about what to say for the past week and has come up with absolutely nothing, he's ready to just give talking a shot. And put more effort into it than last time. Because last time was abysmal.]
no subject
And running away from this is impossible. --No, running away from this is just a bad idea overall.
...
They do need to talk.] ...okay.
[And finally, she reaches out to take his hand.]
no subject
But they can have this talk while finishing Noel's walk with Sol, so if she wants to start walking once she's up to her feet, she's more than welcome to. Ragna will follow.]
no subject
They may just have to.] We should probably start walking.
no subject
Looking over to Noel, Ragna just nods a little, readying himself to start walking in whatever direction. He doesn't exactly know which direction she originally wanted to take Sol, anyway.] Lead the way.
no subject
it's like dealing with a hyperactive childBut moving on, Noel starts to head to the west, motioning for Ragna to follow as she silently walks the dog down the dirt path.
...it won't be her who starts this conversation.]
no subject
With a sigh, he considers his options. Not much other than just diving straight into it.] About that night... [Crap. Where does he go from here? Waht does he bring up?]
no subject
no subject
And he's trying to actually think before he speaks, which is just something he doesn't do often.] Look, I'm sorry about what I said, and what I read.
no subject
Yes. She remembers him apologizing before, on the journals, but things were only made worse by her attitude. His attitude. And maybe today is different!
But that still doesn't change the other worries she's had.] ...I know. I know you're sorry, but... what you read-- I-I don't know what I was even thinking when I wrote any of that, but now that you saw it, it's...
[...more than awkward is one thing she can say.]
no subject
... Yeah, I know what you're getting at. [He stops for a moment, trying to find the right words.] I shouldn't have read that, but I guess I can't really change what I saw.
