New Feather Party Madness
Who: Everyone and their Mom!
What: New Feather Party Shenanigans
When: Saturday Night
Where: Battle Dome
Summary: It's time for the bi-monthly New Feather Party! This time at the Battle Dome with a concert by the one and only Luka Megurine! Take a seat and watch the show or grab a bite and mingle with your friends. Luceti's gonna be noisy tonight and full of good cheer!
Rating: So G you'll get cavities by the time this is all done.
--------------------
Everything was all set to go! The Battle Dome had been turned into the perfect concert hall thanks to the hardwork of everyone who had voluntered to help out. The decorations went up without a tee and the tables were well-laden with the food that everybody had so graciously offered to make. Selphie had taken it upon herself to abuse the vending machines in the Dome and had carefully lined the sides of all the tables with various types of drinks for everyone to choose from. The perky brunette knew that this was going to be one of the best New Feather parties they'd ever held. The crepe paper streamers brought quite a bit of colour to the otherwise metallic surroundings of the dome and it left her debating if they should leave them up. She quickly thought against the idea knowing that there were bound to be complaints about the Battle Dome being a place for training and not a place to hold regular parties.
She sighed lightly before twirling around in her yellow sundress and marching right over to the entrance of the Battle Dome as she opened the doors for everyone to enter and take their seats. When people entered, they'd notice the stage in the middle of the Dome. Adell and his volunteers had worked tirelessly on it and with a splash of colour from the decorating team, the stage was perfect and ready to go. The lights were checked, the speakers were in place and the mic was positions just waiting for Luka to grab it and dazzle everyone with her talents. To say that Selphie was excited about this concert was a bit of an understatement. It reminded her of the Garden Festivals from home as she waited for people to start arriving.
She knew that this night was going to be great for everybody. She knew that everybody in the village needed a chance to unwind a bit and this was perfect opportunity to do so.
[ooc: so despite the fact that I felt like writing instead of doing an action tag, this is a tag however you please type of event. Tag around, build some CR and have fun everybody!]

The sorceress' goal is to have fun, pig out, and get to know her fellow captives. After all, if they're her friends, she'll be more inclined to help them out and more willing to bust out of this place - so far, it's a pretty sweet setup and she hasn't felt terribly inclined to leave.
So Lina circles the party with an almost manically cheerful energy. Random party goers might suddenly find themselves on the receiving end of a pat on the back. The degree of force behind it will depend on how much Lina thinks the person is capable of taking.
"Name's Lina Inverse! Nice to meet you!"
no subject
She turns in curiosity to see a girl with a plate probably taller than she was, with an excess of energy.
"...I'm Daisy."
no subject
Still, she til ts her head back to look Daisy appraisingly in the eye. "So. New in town, huh? At least it's not too bad here right now."
no subject
"Four months." Her white wings flutter shily. "It has it's perks." She had to give that much. Barring unpleasant residents, this place was somewhat peaceful. Both a blessing and a curse for her.
Daisy eyes the plate.
"Mind if I take?"
no subject
"...that depends. What do you want to take?"
no subject
Oh, Daisy sees that glare, but states in a very deadpan manner. Not that she's intimidated by the barely over five feet tall girl.
no subject
"...go ahead. I didn't like the cake much anyway."
no subject
...Well, that, and she notices the frown and the wings that stood tense.
"...Can I ask something? Isn't that food too much?" Look at Daisy. She needs that as much as you do, but she burns all of it.
no subject
Nevermind the fact that it's an excuse she's been using for years. Lina does need a ridiculous amount of food to satisfy herself, as a sorceress and a generally manic person, but she's already started to see that either there aren't a lot of other magic users here or they don't work that way in other worlds.
Still, she holds the plate up higher so Daisy can grab her cake.
"You look like you've done all the growing you're ever going to do."
no subject
"True enough."
Daisy takes a rather big bite she easily swallows before she asks.
"How many days?" The Chief remembers the new feather wave. "You got settled in fast."
no subject
Lina grabs a fistful of potato chips to munch on. "Gotta say, it ain't bad here. I keep having to remind myself that I'm going to have to escape at some point."
no subject
Daisy-023 recalls she had a breakdown after not only being violently tossed into this world, but realizing very little she grew up knowing applied in here. Lina, on the other hand, had already started to make the most of it.
Her pie has now only two bites left. The taller girl looks at Lina with curiosity.
"Don't you want to sit, ma'am?" That mountain of food seemed to the taller girl as if it was too big to sustain itself, though Lina would know better. Hopefully.

"This place gets a lot of talent." She comments, and it doesn't apply only to magic or warfare. Everything she had heard from Luka was impressive. "Would you believe Chopin is in here?"
Though she had always been a fan of classical.
no subject
"Yeah, I guess." She picks up a chicken leg to gnaw on, giving Daisy the attention she isn't giving the food, looking up at her every so often to at least show she's listening. "Who's Chopin?"
no subject
"You don't know Chopin?" She asks while looking at Lina as soon as the mountain is out of their way, a burst of emotion by Spartan standards -confusion-. Still... Not all worlds developed the same. Some of them didn't even have Earth.
"He was a brilliant composer in my world. He invented the instrumental ballade in music. Changed a lot of currents of music. Some of the music Luka is singing right now was inspired by him."

"Oddest thing, ma'am... She's not a human. She's a machine." A sentient machine, but one that sparked her curiosity.

Daisy had trouble explaining at times. Many things she took for granted from her world were hardly understood by people from wholly different universes.
The Chief stands silent for a moment, staring at the minuscule portion that remained of the snatched pie. She's had four mounths in here, and while admittedly she has gotten somewhat better at socializing, she still had a long way to go.
"What kind of world is yours? A lot of things where I'm from don't seem known in yours..."
no subject
...nothing like this, let me tell you. There's not all these...weird machines. Most of the people who live there are human, but we do have a lot of beast men and they're okay. Except the fish people. I hate the fish people. It's on one big continent that's divided into five kingdoms, although ever since Zanafar went on a rampage, everyone's...kind of just focused on recovering, now.
We used to have a barrier separating our world from the Outer World, where they have more gizmos and less magic. And above both worlds is the world of the gods, below it is the world of the monsters.
...you following so far, Daisy?"
no subject
"...And a lot of non-humans..." She notes, noticing the oddity of Luceti wasn't limited to it. "Sentients don't usually share a planet." And fish people do sound problematic... strangely not as much as beastmen, she guesses from the tone of Lina.

She grabbed another piece of cake and began munching on it thoughtfully. "Monsters and Gods can travel to our world, but not to one anothers' and we can't travel to theirs'. It's a real pain in the neck, let me tell you. Compared to them, beat men aren't any trouble. Trolls and dragons, now, those can be a bit more trouble. But every world's got problems, right?"
no subject
"Point taken." All of them have their problems.
Still, if she could kick a Brute's ass in CQC, trolls probably wouldn't be that much different. Dragons? One could compare them to Scarabs -both giant creatures with skin of steel and breath of fire-... but even then, that'd be something she'd have to see.
As for Lina's world, it did sound like the stuff of mythology. In her universe's case, these worlds being connected by a staff, instead of a tree of life.
"It's strange. Why can't you reach those worlds? Doesn't your universe have the magic to get around it?" After all, if some worlds' laws of reality were far more malleable than hers, then it wouldn't be that hard, would it?
no subject
Since the ones who put up the walls between their world and ours' would probably be even stronger and aren't even in range for me to get at, you see our problem.
Not that I'd ever want to pay either world a visit. Not exactly people friendly."
