Summary: An outing to the beach!
Rating: PG-13 (Shouldn't get worse than that, though?)

While Ed is cooperating and the weather is pleasant a decision is made to go to the beach and have some fun! This will work similar to a mass action log, and y'all can create and reply to threads as you see fit.

[She grabs a hold of his shoulders and pushes all her weight on him so that she may push him into the water. She also tries to aim it so that his top half is facing toward the beach. She's not out to dunk him as much as she is to just pin the stupid boy.]

Gah! H-hang on...! [The rest of what he has to say is lost as he falls over and splutters, arms pushing himself upwards to try and keep from going under. She wins this round, apparently.]

[Her expression caught him off guard for a moment, but before he could ask her what's wrong, she's splashing him again, and he's jerking back with a small flail, hand lifting to wipe his face.]

Hey! Enough with the splashing already, I'm completely soaked!

This would be a lot better if I could swim. I bet Al and me would be swimming all over the place if we'd been brought here a day later.

Yeah. [He's quiet for a moment, brows furrowing.] She said... Al gets his body back. I haven't told him yet, though...

[It's not like it isn't good news, but... there are different worlds, different timelines, if what people keep saying is true. The fact that there was an Alphonse from another world is proof enough of that. What if there's more than just too? What if there's one where he fails? So many possibilities, and he can't bear to disappoint Al like that...

Determination is one thing, but there's also being reckless. If they assume they're going to win, won't that just make them careless?]

I asked her questions, and her answers matched up to my memories. And she never said anything about you and Al going to Germany, so that's a plus.

...Good. I don't like the thought of that happening. [His voice is laced with a bit of anger at that; he'd really like to give that alternate self of his a punch for leaving everyone behind like that. Did they even manage to save Amestris like that? And what does that mean about the Gate of Truth? He's been there, and there's nothing on the other side of those doors but cruelty and loss.]

[Edward mulls over that for a moment, brows furrowed, looking deep in thought. It's not like he feels particularly obligated to get back to work, but... it's been niggling at him for the last few days. Was he really that anxious to go back...? For Al's sake, yeah, but if alchemy worked the same way here, couldn't he figure out a way to fix him here anyway? Why was he suddenly feeling these doubts?]

I can't deny that... that I thought about how nice it would be to keep the people I grew to love here around, but home is - it's where I belong. Everyone goes home eventually anyway. It's just a matter of time.
