"Sixteen candles make a lovely light"

Who: House Avatar and ANYONE ELSE
What: Katara's Birthday
When: July 5th
Where: House 56
Summary: It's Katara's 16th birthday today! ~Marrying age~ Seeing as it's a pretty big deal, even though there won't be all the gathered eligible young men in the village competing to make an impression, Sokka invites anyone who wants to come and celebrate over anyway.
Rating: PG? Iunno. Depends on if she gets that birthday kiss.

Nami had been invited over for just after breakfast - that's when the approximation of 'gathering round the girl's family' to make an outrageous hair style and tease her about this new period of her life will begin.

After that's over, Sokka will make a general announcement on the journals, that if anyone wants to come and wish her a happy birthday to come on by around lunch. There's a spread of store-bought food for them to eat, and Sanji will later come over with dinner. And, hey, if you're in the mood for party games-all-sorts, Toph might be talked into building something fun in the back yard...

[he definitely did forget. But at least his guess was spot on.] So grown up.

[he slips something wrapped in a small piece of blue silk (http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/64604/64604,1258320931,1/stock-photo-smooth-elegant-dark-blue-silk-can-use-as-background-40975678.jpg) ]

But then, I guess age only accounts for so much. You've been running a household just fine, for a while now.

I knew I saved these images somewhere....

Yeah. You don't have to look at it now. [grinning, a little, as he hands it over]

[But when she does, inside is wrapped something (http://www.theartofcalligraphy.com/images/ink-stone-with-waves-motives.jpg) of his he'd found a long time ago, and been carrying for a while. With it, the right tool (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqN,!l8E3SI(bNS5BODmm4f,ww~~0_3.JPG) and a particular color (http://cdn.johnnealbooks.com/images/uploads/1949_1458_thumb.jpg) of inkstick. Not too hard to use, even if she hasn't tried (he forgets what is common to different worlds)-- and maybe something at once useful, and distracting in the right kind of way.]
