What: Dhaos' mallynap effect wears off. Uh-oh.
When: Morning of the ninth!
Where: House 34
Summary: Dhaos' kidnapping effect wears off, transforming him from a child into an adult. This, unfortunately, places him in a rather compromising situation. Grune's not helping.
Rating: ...PG >>;
The day before, Grune had invited the young Dhaos to sleep in her bed with her. Though rather reluctant to do so given that they had not known each other very long (and sharing a bed was for babies), the prince was, for one, not accustomed to sleeping on the couch, and for another, rather lonely and taken with Miss Grune. So eventually he agreed.
Unfortunately, Dhaos' kidnapping effect chose that night to wear off, and he is now lying in bed, next to Grune, stark naked.
Better hope he wakes up first.

Welcome to the disasterpost!
Good morning, Fenimore!
Bingo at ten ;)
...Not wishing you a good morning, though. Doesn't feel like it would be... appropriate, under the circumstances.]
...
[What else was going to happen this morning?]
What time's the open bar?
Wait, Fen Fen, don't--!
[Oh, son of a--...mission failed. Norma stops when she hears Grune's voice and spies a long mass of blond hair. bhvjjd EYES CLOSED. SHE IS NOT COMPROMISING HER INNOCENCE AGAIN.]
Aaah! Jeez, you guys, can't you all stay put for more than two minutes?! I am so out of here!
When Dhaos gets out of here and needs a drink to face what just happened.
Well at least he's blond NO ACTUALLY THAT CHANGES NOTHING. Though it does help she's seen him before and thus knows this is big Little D.
Close mouth. Open mouth. Close mouth.]
...
[Actually she has nothing to say right now, even though she'd wound up in a similar position when she was bitty. Uh.]
I think everyone but Grune will be joining him.
Instead, she turns to Fenimore, the shortest person in the house, and asks:] Fenimore, do you have any clothes Dhaos can borrow?
And then she can be the designated driver. Or not.
I rather doubt it. Go back inside.
[Before Fenimore gets ideas, too.]
Norma'd feel safer passed out in a gutter.
Norma has had enough of this miniature apocalypse, and opens her eyes long enough to dart out of the hall and towards the front door. She's not sticking around another minute for any of this. Plus, she did say she was going to try and find clothes for Little D, right? Well, now she's going! Fen fen, this has now become your problem.
On the way out, Norma will just...cry out quickly and in one breath--]
Gonna get clothes for Little D; be back soon - see you later, bye!
Fenimore will drink in the safety of her own room, stigmas against drinking alone be damned.
Wha -- ? [...Fast retreat there. She's about to turn back to Dhaos when it finally clicks that she had been pretty much staring at Dhaos. She ought to fix that, and does so by putting her face in her hands.]
No, Grune.
[Wait. The way Dhaos said that implies that he was in Grune's room. She looks up quickly.] What a -- ?! [...Okay, looking up is a bad idea. Returning to initial state. She doesn't finish her question, though, as she remembers waking up in someone else's bed when she stopped being bitty herself.]
And then Grune will cheerfully hand out hangover cures in the morning (once someone explains)!
I wonder if Walter has anything Dhaos can borrow. [And she...starts heading in the direction of his room. Unless Fenimore and Dhaos want Wally to have one hell of a wake-up, they might want to put a stop to that.]
Dhaos would be loooong gone by then. ...Unless he passed out on the couch or something.
Dhaos raises his voice a little. For once.]
Grune, please go back inside.
[He's not manhandling a woman, though. Especially not wearing... this. Hopefully Fenimore is thinking the same thing he is.]
Suddenly House 34 is strewn awkwardly with drunks.
[She presumes, though possibly wrongly, that that will be enough to deter Grune. She's a little too lost in her own embarrassed recollections to really think about it.]
That's one way to interior decorate?
Do you think so? [She isn't keeping her voice down. Everyone is awake right now, aren't they?]
Considering Dhaos practically wears his curtains? Yep!
Indeed we do. [Since Fenimore isn't, Dhaos will... stroll over and gently try to steer Grune away. He doesn't do anything about the volume of her voice-- as long as Grune didn't go into Walter's room, he wouldn't have any decent reason to get upset.
...Hopefully.]
Re: Considering Dhaos practically wears his curtains? Yep!
The conversation moving out of the wall and right in front of his door is pretty difficult to ignore, however.
At least it's not hellishly early in the morning. But that's probably the only good thing as he opens the door, fairly put together with his pants and shirt and even shoes.
He stares. For just a moment.]
What is going on here?
Re: Considering Dhaos practically wears his curtains? Yep!
It probably falls on her to explain, doesn't it. Grune will probably not explain well and she would be surprised if Dhaos's attempt began with stony silence. Even if she didn't feel very explainy right now, either, she is probably the best they've got for at least as long as Norma has absconded.]
...Hi, Walter. This is Dhaos. Dhaos, Walter. [They probably have at least seen each other while bittified Dhaos has been staying over, but she suspects that they haven't met big. ...Really big, in Dhaos's case.
She leaves it at that for now in the hopes that that would go a long way in filling in the missing parts.]

Walter, do you have any clothes that Dhaos can borrow?
[You know, that guy who's a solid foot taller than you?]
no subject
Dhaos is quite sure Walter has absolutely nothing positive to contribute to this situation, but he's also feeling much less inclined to speak than usual. He assumes that Walter has had experience with Grune's... eccentricity, and is under the impression that he'll be able to figure out what's going on based on what Fenimore has already said. So, unfortunately, he decides to let this particular line of questioning run its course.
He can't see how this could possibly get any more awkward.]
no subject
Of course not. How can you-- [How can you even think that would work?] It's-- Why would I?
no subject
[She doesn't turn to face her as she shakes her head, but the next portion gets addressed to Grune.] There aren't going to be any clothes for Dhaos here, Grune. Norma will be back with something. [...Probably. Norma said it very fast, so she's not entirely sure that's what she said.]
no subject
Oh, do you think so?
no subject
But as she sneaks in through the open door, looking left and right cautiously, it can be seen that she has a bag hanging off one arm. The clothes should be able to properly fit a giraffe like Little D, or so Norma hoped. And she neven tried to get something neutral, casual, but comfortable, too. Isn't she such a wonderful person?]
These better fit, cuz I'm not going anywhere again... H-Helloooo? Is it safe to come in?
no subject
Until Norma returns, at least. Then Dhaos opens his eyes.]
Give those to me. [NOW. Before something else threatens to destroy Dhaos' dignity.]
no subject
Clear out. This hallway is cramped enough without everyone right here.
[He would probably make some arm gestures if not for the fact that Grune was right in front of him and he'd probably end up smacking that rack of hers.]

[Of course, to clear out, Grune decides to squeeze between Norma and Dhaos. Have fun with the sudden closeness, you two!
…And then, naturally, she only wanders so far before coming to a gentle halt.]
/keywords just for this thread.
