Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

[Guess who's noticed you, Alice? It's a talking bird. A talking bird who seems pretty excited to see you, all things considered.

She notices the arm in the cast, and though she's probably a bit concerned somewhere in that brain of hers, Asshole Mode wins out.]

How're you gonna enjoy the party with a busted arm?

[Dear God, it's a talking bird. Alice slowly looks over, blinking a bit at the sight. Well now. But as the bird seems to know her, Alice plays it cool and snaps a quick picture before typing up a message.]

I'll make do. Never been much of a volleyball player though so probably better I stay out.

... Shockingly, they never did 8|; But we can assume they exchanged names later?

[Ooh, are you taking Kazooie's picture? She might even strike a little pose at that, being the hambone she is.]

Volleyball? That's the game where people hit the ball over the net back and forth, right? Never got the point of that game... seemed kinda dumb to me.

Whatcha doing here then? Enjoying the food?

Most sports can be summed up like that. Get the ball through the net, get the ball through the goal, get the points, win the game, get the trophy, get paid. How it all goes.

[Alice gives a light shrug, haven't actually gone over to the food table yet.]

I will eventually, but I'm just enjoying things for now. It's pretty out here. I've never been to a beach before.

Sounds pretty much like what I have to do, 'cept replace all the steps before "win the game" with "get Jiggies". Though I've played a couple ball games! Those Stonies sure know how to play kickball.

[At Alice's next words, Kazooie does something of a double take.] Never? Seriously? How can you not have been?

[... Not everybody lives on an island, Kazooie.]

[Kazooie, you are already becoming Alice's kind of person.] Winning, I can get behind that, always fun winning. [There's a moment when she's about to ask what "get Jiggies" mean before she decides, no, she doesn't need to know.]

Inner city girl. No beaches nearby. [And the whole thing about being a second personality. Yeah, that tends to put a damper on any traveling.]

Winning's the only way you beat the game. [In Kazooie's experience, at least. Then again, she pretty much gets infinite tries to do anything, so the only alternative is winning.]

... Pah, no beaches? Can't be a good place if it doesn't have any beaches. [Said by the bird who was born on one. And lived there most of her early life.]

Right, cause the other option is losing. [If it were Ginia, it'd be about the fun of the game and other sportsmanshiply phrases. Alice? She'll take the trophy, thanks.]

Hey, we can't all live by the ocean.

I come from an island, so pretty much everywhere you go's an ocean eventually. [She's even swam in one that was magically oxygenated.] And ol' Winky put one back in her lair the first time around.

Never seeing an ocean until now's gotta be a real bummer.

[Alice gives a small shrug. Ocean, mountains, forest, plains, there are a lot of places she's never seen.] Not so bad. Can't miss something you've never had, right?

[Kazooie doesn't know what it's like to miss something. She's never had to dwell on things like loss much, even outside of really caring.

... Until now. Now she misses Banjo and the others, but there's not really any easy way to put this.]

Guess not. But hey, you have it now! And it's a pretty cool beach.

I don't see any pirates here, though. That's a ripoff.
