Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

(( OOC: Advertisements the party have been up since the start of the month, though poorly drawn by yours truly. Everyone's free to come, too! New Feather, or old. Feel free to start up your own threads~ ))

You'll need a team!

[FINE THEN. Selphie makes her way up to Rise.]

Can't I join yours?

No can do! My group's full already.

How about Rydia's?

[Frown.]

I'll have to go ask her then.

Yeah...about that. I think she went to look for you. [oops?]

Eh? Now you tell me!

[And Selphie goes for the shoulder shaking with a grin on her face.]

Yell at me sooner, you dork!

[She laughs when the shoulder shaking starts and holds the ball-- not that it's a very decent line of defence-- in front of her.]

Sorry, sorry! I just thought she'd found you already.

Not yet!

[Although Selphie's tempted to snag the ball and run off with it.]

[Slowly backing up! You'll have to act now if you want that ball, Selphie.]

Then shouldn't you go look for her before she goes too far?

[And the ball is claimed with a mischievous grin on Selphie's face.]

And maybe I'll take the ball with me as collateral!

[What no-- OH NO YOU DIDN'T. Diving for the ballll!]

And how are we supposed to play without a ball?

[And she's off with the ball.]

You'll just have to come and get it now won't you?!

[Oh well, while everyone's still busy sorting themselves out in groups-- running after Selphie.]

Oh yeah? Just watch me!

Bring it!

[And Selphie's off!]

[Chasing! Hey, those leg muscles honed from running around dungeons have to be used some time.]

[Selphie's been training pretty hard lately so she's more or less back up to snuff strength wise! She's dipping and darting around people and hopping over a small child's pit of doom.]

[It takes Rise a little to get up to speed-- it's the first time she's had to run on a sandy terrain (with flip flops! Can't forget the flip flops!) but she'll be right behind Selphie, one hand on her floppy beach hat. She ducks past the first person, narrowly misses the second and sidesteps gleefully around the third as she yells:]

Come back here!

[And once she gets close enough, she'll make a dive for it.]

[Selphie barely avoids tripping over someone's sunbathing feet as her own hat goes flying off her head and lands in the water as Rise goes for the dive and catches the perky brunette around the feet.]

WHOOOOOOOOOA!

[Selphie barely manages to twist around so she lands on her back on a particularly large pile of very dry and hot sand. She ditches the ball, wriggles out of Rise's grasp and beelines it for the water where she submerges herself up to the neck while chanting:]

Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!!! [Dunk and sigh of relief.]

[She lets go of her hat the moment she jumps on Selphie, and it blows further into the beach, settling on top of some poor sod's elaborate sand castle like a trophy.

But who cares? The ball's hers--]

Yes! Got it!

[--oh.]

[Calling out--]

Are you okay?

[Selphie yells the following:]

Rise, you suck!

[Unscathed and suffering from a case of mildly wounded ego. She'll get over it.]

[Yeah, she's okay. Rise laughs as she straightens, holding the ball over her head like a trophy of war.]

Victory!

Come join me in the water!

What, now? [No waaaay.] There's a volleyball match, Selphie! C'mon!
