Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

Does it look like I'm wet? [...For the record, no, he doesn't look wet. But it's not like it's obvious he just walked onto the beach from the water.]

Well, no. [He wasn't really thinking Walter had been swimming at all. He was just being sarcastic.] Because like I said, those wouldn't be very good to swim in.

[Damn it, is that really the majority opinion?] Why not? Is it a requirement to remove half your clothes to swim?

No, it's just smart. Less clothing to weigh you down makes swimming a little easier, after all. And since most people aren't big on the whole drowning thing, it just makes sense. [We're not all fish people, you know!]

[If you were all fish people, Walter would probably rage at the obliviousness of said fish people.]

I knew you humans were weak swimmers, but that's ridiculous. If you drown because you have clothes on, you shouldn't be in the water at all.

Oh. You're not human. [This explains everything. He's not going to touch that thinly veiled insult there.]

...So you've heard of us. [Which meant one of the girls had talked to this guy.]

I'm friends with Fen. [Really good friends, actually. Though the nickname should hint at that.]

Fenimore? [He almost scoffs.] Surprising.

[He's not sure if he's being insulted or Fenimore is. The former he'd be okay with. Or rather, not so much as okay, but not defensive about.]

I take it you're not a fan of humans.

I'm more of a fan of you humans than Fenimore generally is. [Since he counts Luceti humans differently from Orerines.] Which is why I'm surprised.

Maybe she realized that we're just humans and not you humans.

Or maybe she just likes you. [...Yeah, what is he saying. But whatever -- it was one less thing he would have to have an argument with her about.]

Well she is one of my best friends here. [So she doesn't like him in that way! Well, he hopes she doesn't anymore.]

I'm Sokka. I work at the smithy here. [Runs, really, but no reason to squabble over words.]
