Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

Captain Blubber? Waverider? [Daisy remembers Kazooie seems to hail from a strangely cartoony world.]

... Where should I start?

[And the answer is, yes. Shows how much she needs to be fixed...

Spartans don't tend to get a lot of sunlight, this girl eats a lot as it is to keep herself in shape, and she wonders if it'd be cheating if she played on one of these games... Though the "waverider things" would be most helpful in this case.]

Well, you're good at jumping and climbing and stuff. You'd probably be awesome at a game! [To Kazooie, cheating is a way of life. Stack the odds in your favour!]

Or you could go swimming or something. You're wearing the right stuff for it. I kinda need a backpack...

I wonder if I'd be too good... [Spartans are too honorable sometimes. Except in battle. Religious fanatics are too honorable to the point of stupidity.

She shifts a little outside of her tiny parasol to follow Kazooie. The Chief looks at her swimsuit. She had always swimmed with more...]

Why do you need a backpack?

I just... do. [She doesn't question the logic of her world, she just follows it unerringly.] I can't go under the surface without being in one.

It's kinda weird, but it's how it works.

[She looks at Kazooie.



Then shrugs.]

World physics. [And continues following the bird in the same colour.] We could try finding one of those games. Or getting a backpack.

I keep looking for mine at that Item Shop place, but I never find the stupid thing. I think maybe the Malnosso-guys are doing it on purpose to annoy me!

[That blue backpack is something Kazooie misses fiercely.]

But heck, I'd play a game with you. I bet we'd be an awesome team!

Wouldn't be surprised. [It seems to be their aim a lot of times. Her mention to make a team makes Daisy smile.] The two of us in volleyball... That'd be unfair. Know where they'd let us play?

I dunno, but we could go ask. [Barging into stuff has always been something Kazooie does.

That being said, there might not be any games to interrupt.]

Or we could make a game ourselves! Grab a ball and have a kick-around, or somethin', maybe?

[She looks around. Daisy notices the collection of balls, to which she walks towards, and picks one of them.]

Then let's get started.

[The ball Daisy's picked up is just your typical beach ball - soft rubber, big colourful stripes... something like this. Kazooie grins as she trots to an area relatively free from other beachgoers and faces Daisy.]

Lemme have it!

[... Either she doesn't realize how strong a SPARTAN's throw is likely to be, or she is far too cocky and doesn't care.]

[Fortunately for Kazooie, the Chief holds her strength. They are well-aware of their strength, and know that their power should be used to protect.

Not that she will let it be easy. Spartans are competitive.

She smashes the volleyball.]

[The ball screams towards Kazooie - even with a toned-down hit, it's still Daisy hitting it.

In response, the bird pivots on one leg and smashes a wing into it.

Most birds wouldn't be able to do that without serious pain, but Kazooie's wings have been through far worse. The ball ricochets harmlessly off and flies back towards Daisy.]

[Kazooie has incredible resilience. She was picked for a reason.

The Chief shifts towards the trajectory of the ball, and both of her fists hit it for a higher arc -- A recovery movement.]

[talontrot]

[Kazooie scoots back a bit, talons digging into the sand as she tries to line herself up for a return volley. She essentially headbutts the ball - being used as a bludgeon for Breegull Bash and Beak Barge means that this isn't a big deal.

Even in this game, Daisy should be able to tell that Kazooie is definitely not normal - or how this could translate into her fighting style, later.]
