Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

[The taller girl walks with him towards the waves. Her bare feet hesitate a little when meeting the water over the sand, but she continues until her swimsuit meets the water.

If Tomoya gets into the water, by the time he is starting to swim, Daisy will still be sticking out of the water with her feet firmly over the sand. She'll need to be in deeper waters for her to swim alongside Tomoya.

Once again, she curses being too tall.]

[ Swimming he does, but he'll soon realize that...maybe this wasn't exactly the best idea. She's pretty tall--I don't know if when she's able to swim, he might be drowning by then.

You know, you should try cutting off your legs. Probably make you shorter. ]

...How good are you at swimming, Chief?

I was taught a lot, sir.

[She can literally swim with both hands tied to her back if need be. Part of the training of Special Ops units.

Daisy takes a few tentative steps, knowing her weight was part of the problem -she weights more than twice what Tomoya does-. After a distance, she finally feels her body's natural buoyance letting her float over the water.

Her feet finally stop reaching the sand, and calmly remains afloat over the surface.]

Haven't swimmed out of fun for so long.

[She keeps watch over Tomoya, nonetheless, in case it is too deep.]

Can you show me a few things then? Know any tricks?

[ He can just watch from back here, you know so fun can still be had and not potentially drown. ]

Know the combat swimmer stroke?

[She goes on to deeper waters, moving with a mixture of swimming styles taking from freestyle, breaststroke, and sidestroke. She begins with an arm pull, uses the bottom arm for propulsion and for a breath, a scissor kick while she puts her arms overhead, and a glide.

Despite this heavy amalgamation of movements, she gains a lot of momentum with only a handful of strokes. And... she actually looks relaxed. She hasn't swam in recreation for so long.]

It's something they teach SpecOps units where I'm from. You'll swim a lot faster that way.

[ Too bad Tomoya's not much of a swimmer like that. He'll watch you flow and answer. ]

Is that for special underwater missions or something?

Something like that. It's used a lot for EOD Ops. [She remembers it is military language.] Underwater missions to lay on explosives.

It makes you harder to see if you ever have to swim in the surface, puts you flat on the water as you swim, and uses the hips as part of the thrust.

[In fact, since the CSS swimmer needs to be as horizontal as possible to reduce the drag through water, height is a benefit... It makes Daisy even faster.]

I could teach you the moves, sir.

That won't be necessary. [ Sounds pretty cool though, but... ]

I wouldn't know when I'd ever use a technique like that. I don't go swimming too often.

[ Think of it as a nicer way of saying he's too lazy to even try that. ]

Know anything else?

Vertical swim, with arms or legs tied up. More of a survival skill, but you never know.

[Something not meant to impress, but one that still requires some experience.

Her swim slows down, and she looks at him. Much of her knowledge in swimming is military, but not civilian in nature.]

[ Arms and legs tied up...? He's picturing you bondaged up. Don't mind him for a second. It's a pretty hilarious image. So to speak at least. Add water and now it's a probable situation you'd be in/you'd be able to get yourself out.

I can backflip underwater. [ Beautifully, might I add. ]

[Daisy only looks confused while Tomoya gets the mental image. If she ever gets to know what is he thinking, the Spartan would have resembled Kyou in that moment.

Her head tilts upwards when he mentions his feat, though.]

May I see, sir?

[ That's...pretty scary. But in any case, he'll show her. It's not all that impressive since it's only a backflip. Underwater at that. He'll dive in, and simply perform it, but during it he lets out a breath on accident, causing him to quickly emerge from the water and breathe in and out deeply. ]

Gaaaah...

Tomoya! Are you alright?

[She quickly swims to check on him, quickly reaching her feet upon getting close. At least she was prepared to bring along purified water with her...]

[ Taking a breather before answering. ]

Yeah, I'll be fine... [ Cough cough, coughing and hacking. This sucks man. How'd he screw up on a backflip... ]

We can get purified water. Something to even out the salt that got in your system.

[Trying to tug him back to the beach. She is concerned. This might be exaggerating for others, but in places where survivalist measures had to be taken, one gulp of seawater could be too much.]

[ Tugging is go. You might hear him clearing his throat a big and a bit of coughing. Water would be nice, wouldn't it? The ones that aren't full of salt. ]

[Since she isn't swimming so much as walking, she eventually gets him to the beach, to the tiny spot where she had settled herself, along with a few things.

Daisy kneels to offer him cold water, far too close by Spartan standards. Even when sitting, she is still bigger than Tomoya.]

Don't go too fast on it. Your body will absorb the water easier if you take it slow.

[Care, and worry. A voice she has used so much, she rarely realizes when she's using it.]

[ Taking the water, he drinks slowly as the tall woman has noted for him. Afterwards, he'll take a breath. ]

[The Chief retakes her distance. That did not work out too well.]

There's more to do in a beach.

[He knows more than she does... Right?]

[Regaining his breath, he thinks of what else is there to do on a beach...]

...Know how to make a sandcastle?

[She gets only images of her parents helping along with one.]

Can you teach me, sir?

Well, I've never actually made one since I was little. Can't hurt to try though, right?

It wouldn't.

[She's on the same boat.

Kneeling beside him on the sand, she picks a few tools nearby... A little unnervingly, she also takes her combat knife.

However, in this position, she actually looks like an older person in comparison to Tomoya - The adult of the two of them. Even when the boy is the one with more actual life experience.]

[Mom, mom~! Let's make a sand castle!

But really, he's going to make some pretty mental notes that this woman is too tall. He'll take a look at the tools you took.]

H-hey, I don't think we need a knife for a sand castle.
