Summary: Brigade party! There's food! There's lights! There's music! There's fireworks!

There were lights! Autumn-appropriate decorations! There were tables of food (though very little of it is vegetarian friendly)! There was even a stage for music and entertainment! Still waiting was the fireworks to take place at midnight, but otherwise things were set up to more or less respectable Brigade standards. Maybe Haruhi hadn't done it herself, but it was done well enough, thanks to the efforts of being coordinated by Mikage.

The stage was left open for anyone to perform that wanted to. The karaoke machine had been dragged outside for people to sing along to, regardless of talent, or otherwise just to play music when no one was on stage. Naturally inside the Rec Center itself is a variety of pool tables, foosball, air hockey, and a TV with some video games. Just enough to keep things a little fun. If only there was a pool.

[It's a very nice knife that's her knife and her knife only. She returns the weapon to the sheath on her belt and sets the pen on end, giving it a good spin before releasing it. It falls and rolls slightly, an etched H appearing on top. Ginia nods and smiles at him, reclaiming her pen.]

[Jack toddles over to the rack of cues which he deliberates over for a good amount of time before picking one up (they're all identical but that doesn't quite matter.) and heafting it in his hands, to get used to the slight weight.]

[Ginia gathers up all the balls and gets them properly placed, then sets the cue ball on its mark.]

You have to use the cue ball to hit the other balls. If you knock the cue ball into any of the pockets, the other person gets to place the ball wherever they want. If you miss the cue ball, normally your turn ends but I'll skip that rule since this is your first time playing.

If you want to take the first shot and break the balls, be my guest. Do me a favor and knock some of the solids in for me.

[Jack read the note, and nods at the instructions, doing his best to memorize them.]

[Jack holds the cue entirely incorrectly, a poor mockery of how Ginia did earlier. He manages to strike the cue ball at least. Though it only taps the gathering of balls and doesn't split them.]
