CUPCAKES CUPCAKES CUPCAKES
Who: Residents of House 53 plus anyone else who wants to show up
What: BIRTHDAY PARTY
When: The afternoon of Sunday, November 13
Where: House 53
Summary: It's
isntyourfriend's birthday! Come wish him a happy day, or at least get some cake.
Rating: G unless Elliot gets really upset about the party
The surprise party for Elliot's birthday was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the household, especially given how much cooking Gilbert had to do to prepare for it, but he'd done his best not to let Elliot know what was going on. And now the day has arrived, and the whole household has been invited, along with any of Elliot's friends.Does Elliot have any friends
The house is open to any and all guests, and there's plenty of food, tea, and cake for everyone. Come in and mingle and say hi to the birthday boy! He won't really hurt you. Promise.

It's a small party.
[He doesn't explain further, but in reality, he's grateful for the fact that it's a small party and not the kind of thing they were used to.]

[Oh, and her.]

It's better this way. I think everyone else likes it, too.

Gilbert usually cooks for all of us, but the house is never like this.
[It was strange, because even though it was usually the same people, the atmosphere was quite different today.]

Isn't it? Maybe it's because of your birthday. Either way, it's nice.

[He's correcting her again. Because there's nothing "nice" about celebrating one's birthday with Jack Vessalius. It's weird.]

[How is
having a dead guy at your birthday partyanything about this atmosphere weird?]no subject
For starters, you guys are here.
["You guys" being "you Vessaliuses", of course.]
no subject
[But why must it be weird! If only it was...not-weird.]

Good. It's useless if no one else thinks so.
[He knew by now, though, that things never really stayed this way.]

[Having Elliot agree with her is almost like a dream come true. Even in a place like this, trapped as they are, she can't help smiling.]
no subject
[Don't make him repeat himself. Agreeing with Ada is already a pain...!]

[Still a happy moment...!]
