The surprise party for Elliot's birthday was probably one of the worst-kept secrets in the household, especially given how much cooking Gilbert had to do to prepare for it, but he'd done his best not to let Elliot know what was going on. And now the day has arrived, and the whole household has been invited, along with any of Elliot's friends. Does Elliot have any friends

The house is open to any and all guests, and there's plenty of food, tea, and cake for everyone. Come in and mingle and say hi to the birthday boy! He won't really hurt you. Promise.

I-it's... [It's cute and adorable and the only time he'd ever received drawings from anyone was back at the orphanage, and the children didn't tend to make him look very nice. He isn't sure what to say, but he takes the drawing from her.] You didn't have to.

It's okay, I wanted to! I wanted to give you at least something for your birthday. And Chuchu wanted to too, so I drew her there with you.

[All of this friendliness is so weird to him... but it makes him happy. He tended to be wary of things like this, but Yellow (and Chuchu) both seemed so honest that he didn't have to worry at all. He looks between the both of them, and even though he doesn't smile, he nods.]

My brothers are seriously weird! [That's an understatement.] And the Vessalius family is too loud!

Are they? I've talked to Ragilbert--er, Gilbert, and he didn't seem weird at all. He seemed really nice! And the same goes for the Vessaliuses.

They're Pokéballs; they hold Pokémon inside of them, like Dody and Ratty here. Chuchu has one too, but I usually just keep her out, so...
