Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

"It's okay, we'll start simple!" She scoops up another bite of food. "A lot of the really basic stuff involves correct breathing and correct posture, which can be boring but it's important to do it right. And that sort of stuff is useful outside of kung fu, too. It helps me relax and focus."

Except when she doesn't want to. (Schoolwork, she will ignore you forever even you are screaming in pain.)

Really? I haven't heard any of the Luceti animals talk. [~~Maybe if you stopped eating all the time, you'd be able to hear them over the sound of your chewing.~~]

Have I? [She considers this as she toddles along behind him.] It sounds very good.

It's just me and my brother. But yeah, I keep him fed!

[...averted gaze and polishing of glasses.]

Ginia Solana. You probably know her. She's a sociable sort of person.

...if there's anyone I'd trust to give you any medication, it's Ami. Take some tonight, if you're still tired. Just one or two, though.

[Not too shabby, given what those nightmares must have dealt with.]

Bound to happen, party this size. They're chaotic affairs at the best of times, but this one is a bit worse than most.

Wat does your brother look like?

Ginji's head tilts slightly. "You took the words right out of my mouth, Grune. I guess the only thing I'm not used to is the weather and the lack of fonmachines."

Oh, it's sort of okay if General Van isn't friendly; Ginji isn't sure what he'd say if he met the man in the flesh.

"Yes, she is. Her name's Noelle. I'll have to introduce you sometime."

"A few new places, at least." The inside of the Malnosso facility where they'd found themselves, at least, had been new. And far more pleasant than the facilities they usually found themselves in.

"Still. Always nice to be home."

Ginji's eyes dart towards the table, and he nods in agreement.

"Probably not, since there seemed to be plenty left when I went through the line a few minutes ago. I highly recommend the soup."

Bigger parties? Which means this man's been in Luceti for at least a while, right?

"I'm Ginji, by the way. Who are you?"

I think they're supposed to! Or they always talked and now we can just hear them properly. I've heard Epona talk sometimes!

[Just the occasional, 'thank you' here and there, but the first time he did, he nearly fell in her water trough in sheer surprise.]

Quite a while, to his mind.

"Giles. Nice to meet you, Ginji. Sorry if I seem, um, a bit on edge. Only just got back this morning."

Really?!

I've always thought so, yes.

[Well, maybe not always, but damn close enough.]

[Selphie's just going to smile sweetly at you here, Giles. She's happy that you're happy.

...You are happy, right?]

[He is. It's slowly sinking in, but he is. Not just because of Ginia, either, although she's playing a large part.

He points out the figure of Ginia as a child flitting her way through the party.]

I'm afraid she's been a bit slow recovering, though.

It is. Did you ever meet a little girl called Vivi Aislinn? She really liked white chocolate. [He smiles fondly, in memory.] I got to be her big brother when she was here - the Memory Garden started for her.

She said just to have one - otherwise I might have trouble getting up again. But okay.

[To be fair, that sleep was more from sheer exhaustion than anything else.]

[THE ICE CREAM IS DRIPPING!!!

But Selphie's after that drip like a seasoned pro.]

[Selphie's gaze follows the younger Ginia with a soft smile. She remembers her time spent as a child after a kidnapping.]

She'll be back before you know it.

The smile she gives him is gentle and warm. "I'm glad you're home, too."

She would never say, because she thinks it would make him sad, but she missed him a great deal while he was away--and Ginia and Helios, too. It was nice to have the children to look after, but that didn't mean she had missed her friends any less.

She can't wait for Ginia and Helios to come home, too.

He has thick reddish brown hair, and he's a little older than me. He wears a lot of green. Ah, his name is Asbel.

Ah, you have a brother?

"If that's all right with you . . . " He puts the utensils down onto the plate, having finished his meager meal. He really doesn't want to trouble Pao-lin if he can help it. A beat, then he glances up with a small smile.

"Um, thanks for eating with me. It was good."
