Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

[Rin shows up a little late and despite being a guest, a party going... well he clearly missed some sort of memo because he brought a dish a pass. Actually a very big one, because he walks in carrying a large hot pot in both arms and a big of ingredients under his arm. He figures what better to bring to a party than Sukiyaki!

...Mind you he'd need to make it and manage the pot but when he walks in. Huh. Wow there was more people than he was expecting and he doesn't know where to set up shop. when eh figures it out though, he'll be manning it]

[The smell of sukiyaki is strong. Well, distinct is more like it, and Hubert finds himself drawn to the outstanding scent. He peers curiously up at the pot, watching Rin do his thing at fixing sukiyaki.]

Wow . . .

[The older boy really looks like he knows what he's doing! And it looks very good.]

[Damn right he does.

Not that running a hotpot displays too much of his skill in this instance because much of this is relatively pre-prepared, but. Making up bowls for people is a thing. Not that he's noticed the small guy]

[Undisturbed on both ends, Hubert continues to watch until he's sure Rin has gotten to a point where small conversation can be afforded without ruining the dish. More curious than ever, he pipes up softly.]

What is it?

Sukiyaki, little dude!

[Oh, small person. Yep. ]

[ . . . little dude . . . his little boy's pride.]

I'm not that small . . .

...You're kinda small. It's no problem, I was small too once.

[Everyone is, at one point, and that point is enough to cheer him up. So that he didn't just end up wasting the older boy's time, he adds:]

Would it be all right if I tried some, once you finish?

[Regarding the sukiyaki, naturally.]

[Two steps ahead. He was making a new bowl now - his set up is pretty solid and honestly it's all about choice of what's in it and timing. So-]

Got anything in here you don't like?

[He peers into the bowl and shakes his head. He's not particularly picky.]

Mm, this is fine.

[Well okay man. He'll get in some extra meat before passing it over for him]

[He takes a small sip of the soup and bite of the meat, and you know what.

This is absolutely delicious.]

Wow, this is great . . . !

Thanks, little man! [Hahaha. See, he's got it - not that there was a doubt. No one really doubts his cooking skill after all]

[He's used to women doing the cooking, but who's he to complain if a boy can do it just as well, if not better?] Did you cook a lot back home?

Yeah! No one else can at the dorms. [Well. There is that imp... ~~in the anime which I've not decided if I'm canoning for the manga yet~~]

The dorms . . . ? [~~do it he's cute~~]

Oh. So, did you provide for your whole family then? [That's a lot of work, man.]

It's just me and my brother. But yeah, I keep him fed!

Ah, you have a brother?

Yeah, a younger one!

[Ooh. That makes sense.] Is he a lot younger?

[SURE, BECAUSE A COUPLE OF HOURS FEELS LIKE YEARS, HUH, RIN.]

So like a year apart?

A bit less... we're twins.
