Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

Odin sulks slightly with a huff, but flops down onto his side with a full and content belly. Ginia gives Odin a pat on the head before she straightens up and smiles at Grune. Writing go!

Hi Grune! Odin is a good dog! He's afraid of nothing and protects all good people and bites bad people.

Grune reads the list of Odin's outstanding qualities and smiles. "Oh, my. He's a very good dog. You must be very happy he's your friend."

I am! He's the best friend anyone could ask for!

Are you enjoying the party? Isn't it nice? Everyone worked really hard on it.

"Yes, I'm enjoying it very much." She smiles. "Thanksgiving is such a nice holiday. I hope we can have one like it on the Legacy."

She thinks about that for a moment--her whole family together, having delicious food and saying thank you for one another. It's a good thought.

What's the Legacy? And here begin all the questions...

Fortunately, Grune is happy to answer them--although it's doubtful she'll be particularly satisfying. "Oh, that's where I live when I'm not in Luceti."

That's okay, Ginia can always ask more questions. What's it like?

Grune thinks back to her other home and smiles. "Oh, it's a very beautiful place. There are lots of mountains and rivers and forests, and everyone there works so hard to do their best every day."

Ginia pictures the location and smiles. It does sound beautiful. It sounds really nice! Is it really peaceful out there?

"Yes, it's very peaceful," Grune says immediately.

At the moment, she's forgetting about the war with the Ferines and that other war with Crusand. Hers is a happy existence.

To be Grune is to be peaceful and happy. Of course, to be a young Ginia is also to be peaceful and happy too.

Are there lots of nice people there too?

"Oh, yes," she answers right away. "Lots of my friends are there, like Senel and Chloe and Will and Shirley." She hesitates. That's right. "And Moses, too."

He isn't here anymore. He used to be, but he had to go home.

It must be nice having so many friends. There's a pause as she wonders because then it means everyone back home is waiting for her. Like Mom and Dad and Amelia and Avery...

Do you have friends from home here too?

"Yes, Norma and Fenimore and Walter and Jay are all here, too." Walter would no doubt be delighted to be included in this category. "And Stella and Moses used to be here, but they had to go home."

Ginia gives a tiny frown. It's so sad people left, but they'll all go home too, right? Or more will come here, that's what the guide seemed to say. Which is why she's holding onto the fact her parents will show up eventually.

That's sad, but you'll be able to see them when you go home. And you have friends here!

Grune makes sure to keep smiling for Ginia. She can't see Stella when she goes home--she can only see her here. But that would only make Ginia sad, and it's not good to be sad on such a nice holiday.

"Yes, that's right. I hope I can see them again soon. But I'm glad I have lots of friends here. Like you!"

Ginia smiles and blushes a little. Sure, there's her family and some of the really nice hunters back home, and Tiffany is a great friend, but those are the only people she really knows. Here, she's met so many people and made friends, ones her age! It's really nice.

Pardon the little bitty, because she's going to go in for a hug.

No pardoning required! Grune adores hugs, and when Ginia's arms go around her, she couldn't be happier.

She enfolds the little girl in a cozy hug, cuddling her close. It's definitely not going to be Grune who's letting go first, so it'll be up to Ginia to decide that one.
