Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

Um, my name is Pilouette. It's, uh, like, nice to meet you, Miss Grune!

And um, I'm having an okay time, I guess! I mean, meeting people is making me feel a little better about...um...

_{[She's trying to choose her words carefully; if nothing else, Pilouette wants to at least try to sound mature, especially in front of an adult like Grune.]}

[Grune gives her a sympathetic smile.]

Do you miss your family and friends?

Y-Yeah, kinda.

I mean, it feels really weird not knowing when I'll see them next. Seeing my friends in class everyday was something that just like, happened every day back home.

And I can't remember when the last time I went this long without at least talking to my dad was.

Don't worry. [She sets a gentle hand on Pilouette's shoulder.] I'm sure your friends and family will come see you soon. And everyone here is very nice, so you can make lots of friends while you wait.

Oh! Y-you really think so?

_{[She brightens up for just a second, but her smile turns just the tiniest bit uneasy after a moment.]}

Oh, but...I think they would probably be a lot happier back at home. But I guess it'll be nice to make friends here, since I'll probably be here a while, huh?

That's right. Then you can have a good time with everyone and not be lonely.

W-Well, I wouldn't say I'm, you know, lonely.

I mean, I'm old enough that I'd be okay on my own if it came down to it! I-I think!

Oh, I'm sure you would be fine. But it's nicer not to be alone.

[Which is something she's trying to drill through the heads of a couple of people much older than you, Pilouette.]

Ahaha, yeah, you're right! I-I mean, I'd be totally okay by myself, but I think I really do like being with other people more! It's lots more fun.

Yes, it's more fun to play games with lots of people.

Plus, it's like, better than talking to myself. If I don't talk to like, other people, conversations get totally boring, you know?

Yes, that's right. And other people always have very interesting things to say. Sometimes they tell stories!

[She loves it when that happens.]

Omigosh, I know, right? Isn't that just the best?!

And then sometimes it reminds you of a good story and before you know it, like, everyone is telling stories and it's like, so awesome~!

Oh, it would be like a story party! [Yeah, this sounds pretty much perfect to Grune.]

Oh. My. Gosh.

That would be like, one of the greatest things EVER~!

Maybe we could have a story party after Thanksgiving!

And people can tell like, all kinds of stories! Like, true ones and made up ones and fairy tales and ones they heard from somebody else and...!

[Unfortunately, Grune is not good for calming people down.]

And we can learn everyone's favourites!

And then people can share everyone's stories with everyone else and....omigosh~!

We can all learn a whole lot of new stories!

And I bet it would help a lot of people make all sorts of new friends, too!
