Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

Nice to meet you, Pils! This is my dog, Odin.

[Ginia points down at the dog laying down at her side. Odin raises his head, appraises Pilouette with his eye, then sets his head back down.]

Aww, he's like, so cute!

_{[Grinning, she starts to extend a hand towards Odin, but stops short and pulls her hand back.]}

Is...Is it alright if I pet him or...?

[She nods.]

Don't worry, he's friendly. Unless you're a bad person, then he'll eat your face.

_{[She just kind of...stares for a second after reading that, first at the notepad, then at Odin, before letting out a nervous chuckle.]}

W-Well, um, I sure hope he thinks I'm not a bad person...!

_{[Carefully, she reaches out and pats Odin on the head.]}

[Odin raises his head slightly and looks over at Pilouette, allowing the head pat. He's a dog, dogs like being pet.]

_{[Oh, good, he didn't eat Pils' face! Hooray! She begins to pet him a little more freely now.]}

Awww, such a good doggie~!

_{[She looks back to Ginia.]}

You must have done a really good job training him, huh?

[Odin, big dog with a big puppy heart, rolls onto his back and wags his tail. Belly rub please?]

I didn't train him! He's a stray dog from my neighborhood back home, but I guess someone trained him since he's really well behaved!

_{[You can have all the belly rubs, Odin. Forevermillion belly rubs.]}

Really? Maybe people fed him a lot or something. I mean, that gets dogs to behave, right?

I think so! Everyone likes him in the neighborhood. The dog catchers don't even try to take him to the shelter now.

Do you have any pets?

I don't see how anyone couldn't like him! He's so totally cute!

And I didn't have any pets back home. Daddy doesn't think we have time to take care of one since I have...er, had school and he's at work so much.

Isn't he? Some people say he's scary since he only has one eye, but I don't think so! It means he's a brave, tough dog.

It's the same with me back home! Everyone's really busy and we don't have much space in the apartment.

What does your dad do? My dad is a bartender.

That seems about right! I mean, however he lost his eye must've really been something. He's gotta be tough for something like that!

My dad's an investment banker! ...I...I don't know like, all the details or anything, because it's kinda boring, but he ends up having to take a lot of trips and stuff for work.

I bet he lost it in a fight. Maybe against another really big dog.

It sounds pretty important though! Since bankers have to work with moeny and be really careful. How about your mom? My mom sings and acts on stage.

I guess you're right! If his job wasn't important, he wouldn't be working so much, huh?

_{[Her expression turns serious just for a moment, but Pilouette tries to pretend like the subject doesn't bother her at all.]}

I don't really have a mom.

[Ginia balks a little at that. Not because it's something unheard of - there are lots of kids without moms or dads in Davenport - but because she's not too sure how to broach the subject.]

Don't worry about it. It's a not a big deal. Really.

_{[She thinks for a moment, wondering how to change the subject.]}

Um...So! Hey, I was wondering, uh...Did Odin show up in Luceti with you or did he come here later?

[It's an appreciated subject change just because Ginia doesn't like making things awkward and with Pilouette being one of few girls her age, at least until she's an adult again, she wants to stay friends.]

It's funny since the droids brought us back to town and dropped us off and then I found him shortly after! I guess he was already waiting here.

I woke up in this funny lab and there were two other boys there and the men in the lab coats - they're the Malnosso - said we did a good job and were sending us back! Except back wasn't back home, but here and we were escorted here by these robots that didn't say anything!

_{[She had heard about the experiments and whatnot, but...]}

W-Well, I guess if they brought you back, that's not so bad. But those robots sound a little...creepy. They didn't say like, anything at all?

[A shake of her head.]

Rupert kept trying to ask questions, but they wouldn't respond! Maybe they weren't programmed to be able to talk.

I guess not...You'd think they'd at least program them to answer questions instead of just like, doing whatever and not telling you anything. Tch! That's like, totally rude of them...!

I know! I wonder what they would sound like if they could talk?

I dunno...

I mean in the movies, it's always like, part sentences and big words and stuff. Like...um...

_{[She's going to do her best to imitate a robot.]}

"Initiating shut down procedure! Error! Cannot compute!" Like that, I think.

[Ginia silently giggles at that, body shaking as she covers her mouth. That's a good impression!]
