Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

[At this, he cracks an irrepressible grin before mimicking Rocky (sans the drawl) and his exact words to Adrian in the first installment of the series he has watched far too many times. Can't blame a guy for geeking... right?]

Take off these glasses.

_{[Hopefully, Mac will forgive her for not getting the reference. Instead she's going to take hold of the ear pieces with her fingers, adjusting them a little, giving him another puzzled frown.]}

Um, what? Why?

[Actually, he had expected some opposition, thankfully.] Well... y'don' really need those glasses, right? ...They don' got no lenses, anyway.

[Offering a one-shouldered shrug, he smiles ruefully as if to say, "Hey, I'm a dude, cut me some slack, yeah?".] 'sides, y'look nice without 'em, too.

What's it about...? [He echoes, his tone still holding wonder.] Well, it's about Rocky Balboa. He's a guy from Philly, a small-time boxer who ain't really goin' nowhere with his life. He ain't too bright, but he's got a good heart. He hooks up with this sweet lady he knows at the pet shop who is real shy. She's the right one for him, but it don' seem like they's made for each other at first 'cause she's a lil' scared a' him. Kinda intimidated 'round men, yeah? Anyway, along the way, Rocky is chosen t'be the lucky 'nobody' who gets his shot at fightin' Apollo Creed, the champ, an' Rocky proves it t'Philly an' the world an' himself that he ain't no bum. He's got the heart an' he goes the distance. It really speaks t'me.

Yeah... if only this place had videos an' a big tv... but hey - [He pauses as he is stuck by a sudden realization.] Maybe the Rec Centre's got somethin'. Y'know, I keep sayin' I'm gonna check out the place but a whole lot a' other stuff keeps happenin', an' then I f'get. I'd really wanna see it again.
