What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.

Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

[ Oh gosh parties...bitty!Helios is not so well equipped for parties. So he will be in the random corners of the school cafeteria looking lost and out of place as all hell. People here were nice, yes, but he just...does not do well in crowds of this size. Maybe he shouldn't have came after all... ]

[ Helios jumps at Grune's interjection. Oh goddds was he in the way or something?! Helios shakes his head. ]

N-No. I-I was just...watching. [ Big crowds are kinda scary and all. Helios is wall flowering it up like a boss. ]

Oh, all right.

[It's about this time she's noticing the distinct lack of food in Helios' general area.]

Aren't you a little hungry?

A little. [ Said ever so low as Helios doesn't look at Grune. ]

Why don't we go get something to eat, then? There's lots of very nice food here.

[Grune makes social interaction look so easy, sigh.]

N-No that's okay. I-I'm not too hungry. [ Especially since his stomach just decided that now would be the appropriate time to growl. Thanks stomach you sure helped out a bunch there. He miiight look a little embarrassed now too. ]

[Grune hears that, Helios.]

Are you sure?

Um. M-Maybe I am just a little. [ Because yeah he can't get away with that, sadly. ]

Then why don't we go get something to eat together?

[And she holds out her hand, the motion quite natural.]

O-Okay. [ Helios looks at the offered hand a bit warily. It's a big deal that he's even considering having Grune hold his hand. But she's nice as multiple encounters have shown. So bitty!Helios will shakily take her hand. ]

[Grune gently wraps her fingers around his, her smile growing as she does.]

What's your favourite thing to eat, Helios?

[ Helios thinks on that moment, hm, favorite thing? He likes sweets but no that's not really a healthy thing...ah well. Helios frowns as he tries to think hard into the matter. ]

I-I like all sorts of things! M-Mom says to t-try new stuff so...so I try to d-do that. [ Though typically he'll just nibble and determine if he likes it by a small taste. He wouldn't want to waste anything. ]

Then we should have some new things and some old things. Maybe you'll find a new favourite food.

[And gently leading him in the direction of the food....]

Yeah! It's always good to t-try new things.

[ Oh boy that is a lot of food. Bitty!Helios' eyes light up in amazement. ] There's...there's so much food. Are-are all parties here like this?

Oh, yes. [Well, more or less. This one is a little heavier on food than the others.] Everyone always works so hard so that everybody who comes can have a good time.

[Including you, bitty!Helios.]

Glad you could drop by. Ginia's been here a while helping out with preparations. I'm amazed she's still going.

[ ahieuhge he didn't even hear you walk by! Helios might startle a little before looking back up at Giles with a smile. He isn't going to take that food unless you force it upon him Giles. He is skinny, yes, but he doesn't want to take your food. ] Oh sh-she is? I didn't see her.

[ Staying in the corner doesn't give you a very good view either. ]

[So the absentmindedness never changed, at least. Honestly, Helios, he's three feet taller than you right now.

The plate of food is passed over. It will not be moved until Helios takes it.]

S-Sort of. [ He was too busy being awkward okay?! And he might be entirely too afraid to actually make contact with anyone else, yep. He'll blink and look at that plate. Before tentatively making to take it. ] Thanks.
