DRAFT LOG #2: The Battle Game!

Who: Everyone on the draft
What: Fighting bad guys!
When: Today (after 12PM) to the 19th, in the evening
Where: The Mining Facility
Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

Anytime

[Vash will be going from place to place. Picking out Third Party Members when he can, but he's not killing anyone or is he tagging them. He knows these people are out to kill him, but he just doesn't trust the Malnosso to want to hand them over either.

What he really wants is a way out. So when he's not fighting expect to find him testing the stability of areas or perhaps even attempting some halfhearted digging.]

AT SOME POINT!

[At some point though Vash runs into a bit of a problem. He's chasing down a pesky Third Party when he rounds a corner and is that - is that dynamite!? Oh shi-]

AH! No! Wait! Please! Don't do that! [He makes a valiant attempt to rush over and take it out of his hand, but it's too late! The wick is lit! And-

BANG!

Quickly Vash uses his hand gun to shoot out the fuse. He's just about to let out the breath he was holding when he hears a small hissing sound. Apparently that had been a decoy as there's also a trail of gunpowder light headed over to that pile of-]

OH CRAP!

[The small piles explodes and the small tunnel starts to cave in as Vash rushes forward to cart the Third Party Member out and away from the collapsing walls. Anyone is welcome to be caught up in the blast!]

Even later!

[At some point once the barricade has been breached Vash will get back towards the tick of things to help protect anyone he can. ANYONE. Be they Lucetians or Third Party. (Note - he will not save a Third Party member if doing so hurts your character) He's still not killing and he's still not tagging. People are more than welcome to come discuss that with him during battle or down time. Also are welcome to notice that during this acts he's not always getting out scotch free.

Or anything else you might want to thread out with Vash, we'll make it work!]

[One of these days, Eggman will be hovering some distance away from Vash. He'd spotted Vash in the mines and wondered what the fellow was up to. He's not doing a lot of ass-kicking, that's for sure.

At some point, while Vash is engaged in some kind of struggle with a Third Party soldier, Eggman decides to spring into action to aid the guy. He's obviously losing after all.

Quickly piloting his eggmobile into range, Eggman fires a laser beam in the direction of the Party goon's wings to help his good friend out.] Take this!

[Lasers? Vash isn't sure what that laser will do. Could be a stun ray or maybe it could disintegrate. Vash can't take that chance.

Maybe it looks like a mistake to the Doctor, but with a very quick, swift, and a bit more brutal kick than Vash really likes to give out his attacker is sent flying back away from the blast.

Then Vash turns and waves happily at Dr. Eggman.] Oh! Hey there, Doc! What brings you down this tunnel!

[Hm, that Third Party baddy laddy seems to be getting up already. Better skip most of the silliness and find out what kind of laser that is.] That's a funny looking gun you got there? Doesn't work like regular bullets does it?

[Eggman leans out of his mecha and yells at Vash.]

Gah! You idiot! You made me miss! [Gesturing at his laser pistol, Eggman answers Vash's question.] Bullets are too fiddly! Besides, nothing says mad scientist like a laser beam! Ba ha ha!

[He spots that enemy stumbling to his feet and withdraws his pistol, manoeuvring his mecha to stop the enemy. The only other visible weapons he has are the oversized boxing glove launchers attached to the sides of his vehicle...]

*zips lips*

Opps! Sorry about that. So it's a laser beam? Does it stun? Or do other things too?

[Vash eyes the pistol in Eggman's hand. If he shoots right before Eggman he can get the Third Party Member to fall forward and that should save him.]

Of course not! If I want to stun I just do THIS!

[Eggman slams one large fist on the launch button for his boxing gloves, sending one flying in the direction of his target.]

[That looks fairly non-lethal so Vash makes no move to stop it. Instead of clapping and acting impress once the Third Party member is down for the count.] Wow! Impressive!

[As the glove hits, Eggman raises his arms and does a short victory dance.] Ho ho ho! How do you like that?

I'm glad you're impressed! [Then, he takes a more serious tone.] But you know, I can't let you send him off to the Malnosso.

Oh? [Not that Vash had any intention of doing that, but he's curious as to Eggman's reason.] Why's that?

The Third Party seem to be the only ones with the power to oppose the Malnosso outside of the barrier. [He glances at the unconscious soldier, checking he's not going anywhere.] If we let the Malnosso win this war, who knows how powerful they'll become? Besides, the Malnosso hardly need more guinea pigs!

[Hey! That's pretty close to what Vash was thinking! But he's happy to give Eggman all the credit.] Wow! That's a brilliant idea! You sure are smart! I'll be sure not to tag anyone!

[Eggman decides to believe Vash, but only because he called Eggman smart.]

Ho ho ho! Glad to hear it, Charlie! The only question is what to do with him before he wakes up. We could just kill him and send him back to his masters. [Eggman says this without batting an eyelid, but in reality the idea of killing someone like that is disturbing to him.]

Oh, we can't do that! I hate the sight of blood! It makes me faint! Don't worry about it Eggy, I got this handled! I know a cave I can hide him in! Oh! And I also happen to have some rope!

What extraordinary luck. [Eggman begins to suspect it's more than coincidence, but he's at least glad they don't have to go through with a grisly execution.] Very well then! Tie him up quickly before he comes to!

[Vash gives Eggman a quick salute.] Aye, aye, sir! [With a swift move, Vash pulls out a length of rope out of one of the pockets of his coat. Just as fast he's got the man tied up tight and works on hauling him up over his shoulder.

Yeah, there's some experience there.] The tunnel I saw is just down that way! So I'll go ahead and stick him in there.

Good man! I'll come with you and, er, make sure nothing interrupts you.

[Eggman flies towards where that boxing glove launched and a metal claw extends from the machine, snatching up the glove.]

You know, you're the second mad scientist I know that likes to use giant punching... uh... things. Is that a thing you guys have to do? [Vash hauls the Third Party Member over his shoulder and heads towards the tunnel he had mentioned before.]

Great minds think alike, I suppose! [Eggman says this jovially, but then he frowns, adding:] Either that or he's copying my style! Either way, it's proven to be effective!

[The glove is reattached to the mech, ready to punch out another soldier, and Eggman floats after Vash slowly.]

Well, he attached his to his son's arm. So not quiet the same! [Once there, Vash sets the guy somewhere where he hopes the guy will be out of the way from being stepped on.] There we go!

That sounds significantly less cool than a giant punching mecha-glove. [Eggman stops and hovers in place, staring at the subdued grunt for a moment.] What now? Do we just leave him here?

[Not if your son is a giant.] Oh, well, I guess I could watch him. [For awhile.]

Watch him? [Eggman looks bemused, and then frowns.] I hope this isn't all an elaborate ruse to tag him while I'm not looking!
