DRAFT LOG #2: The Battle Game!

What: Fighting bad guys!
When: Today (after 12PM) to the 19th, in the evening
Where: The Mining Facility
Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[Alone in the dark and the walls that are going to collapse on them fully at any moment and crush them to death. He'd personally rather have his wings ripped out than suffer that fate. Good thing he's too injured to try. As it is he's lost a bunch of feathers in that mayhem and badly bruised one of them.]

[He only shrugs weakly. The question isn't exactly... making sense.]

[She notices the scattered feathers and tries to mutter a Cure spell, though given her state and lack of focus, it fails several times. Only once does she manage to send some healing magic his way. It washes over her as well, which eases her throbbing head somewhat, though she's going to need a lot more healing magic before she's better. She sighs and slumps.]

That's all I can do...I don't think I can cast anymore.

[Which is good since even in his right mind, he can't do a thing to heal. Kain collapses beside her after another moment and carries on the mental freakout. He's trying to get his thoughts straight but he can't stop envisioning that everything is closing in...]

[If only she could manage enough strength to cast Warp, they could be free of this mess. But even retaining consciousness is difficult, and after that sigh she returns to drifting in and out again.]

[Kain wishes he had the strength to try and dig them out, but even if he could, he doesn't want to shift the wrong rocks and make this worse. Nor does he have enough in him to so much as make a gust of wind.]

[He'll just lay here drifting himself and more grateful for the moments he's out of it than not thanks to the closing in feel of the surroundings.]

[It's frustrating, to be unconscious half the time and unable to stop the buzzing in her head long enough to get them out. The only thing she can do is hold onto Kain's hand with what little strength she possesses. After a while, she frowns.]

[Kain wishes he could concentrate enough to be useful but he can't seem to. He shakes his head, but he's not paying close attention... he's assumed thus far that any sounds are just imagined...]

[Those sounds aren't imagined. In fact, it sounds like a high-pitched whirring noise, followed by a piercing grinding noise.

The wall of earth leading towards one of the passages begins to shift, crack, and slowly crumble as the noises grow louder and louder. Soon, the tip of a drill (http://images.wikia.com/megaman/images/6/6e/Mmldrillarm.png) slowly pokes its way through the wall... and then the wall partially falls away and reveals a helmeted Mega Man on the other side, the drill unit attached to his right arm.]

Hey! You guys okay?

[Rydia, groggy but roused by that voice, glances over.]

...who's there?

['We're fine!' ...Oh, right, no one can hear that. Kain also realizes just how tightly he's been clinging to Rydia now. He lets go a little bit. If someone is really out there, then... they'll be out of here soon, right?]

[A voice answered back! Someone's alive in there!]

It's Mega Man! I'll have you guys out of there in a minute! Hold on!

[He quickly sets back to work with the drill, knocking down chunks of the wall and giving a more clear passage out of the cave in. He deactivates his drill and gets a better look at who he's rescuing.]

...Rydia? ...Are either of you hurt?

...yes...

[Rydia has a nice bruising cut on her forehead, thanks to the cave-in, which is the cause of the blood trickling down the side of her face. She stirs a bit, trying to move, but the overwhelming dizziness that results causes her to slump back.]

[Kain nods weakly, he has a share of cuts and bruises and is just as bad off. But now that there's some hope for getting OUT he's less concerned about the being hurt part. That can be dealt with. Still, despite everything about being trapped in there, he gestures toward Rydia, indicating to help her out first.]

[Mega Man steps inside, bringing with him an LED powered lantern, which is a lot easier, and safer than carrying a fuel lantern.

He gets a good look at both of them, seeing them injured significantly, but it doesn't look life threatening. Though Rydia's head wound gives him a lot of concern.]

...Agh, I don't think we should move either of you out of here, and I don't have the supplies to treat any of this. [He pulls out his journal instead and posts a voice message.]

Base, this is Mega Man Volnutt. Got two injured in a cave-in in Area B-7. Requesting a field medic be dispatched here right away!
