Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[Mia keeps going out alone, no company necessary. ...It's more like no company sought, though, because she's a pretty easy target if you can avoid all the flooding and ice spires and get to her person.

Which this particular attacker seems to have done; the blood on Mia's clothing is mostly hers. If she could just get rid of him, or stop him for a few moments, she could heal herself and keep going, but his attack is relentless and she's having one heck of a time just stopping him using her staff.

There's not much evidence of her usual ice-filled attacks around, either - is the area unstable? Is there a redhead nearby who could lend a hand?]

[A bit of column A, a bit of column B...

As the soldier charges in for what could quite possibly be a final blow, a glyph appears at his feet, the incantation little more than a faint echo coming from further down the tunnel. A split-second later, an explosion of rocks tears from the ground upwards, carrying the soldier upwards to the ceiling of the tunnel and making short work of him. It's not a pretty picture, but it certainly got the job done. (Even if it probably didn't help the tunnel's stability any.)

A moment or so later, Asch appears in the not-too-far distance, approaching her at a brisk pace, his sword drawn. It's pretty obvious that the arte came from him.]

You alright?

[As soon as it becomes clear someone friendly is helping, Mia falls back, using the time to heal herself as much as she is able. With help from Fizz, she's almost completely through by the time Asch approaches. He'll get to see the end of her last Ply, if he can see anything at all.]

Hm? Oh, yes. I'm fine now. [a friendly and very grateful smile.] That was you? Thank you very much.

[Asch's brows lift very slightly at the appearance of her healing spell, but different types of magic have become so common in Luceti he doesn't comment on it for the moment.]

Forget it. Can you move? This tunnel doesn't look sturdy right now.

[Which is totally not his fault. Though technically he's given it a support pillar... lick it, it's oozing strawberries!]

Back that way. [He points towards the way he'd come from.] The main camp isn't far off, so if you need medical attention, you can get someone to heal you there. [....] You shouldn't be traveling alone.

I've healed myself. [Quite completely. ...Her clothes are still a mess, but there's nothing for that right now.] I was caught in a bad situation, that's all.

I noticed. [It was kind of obvious.] Can you fight?

[He's walking, now, so he expects her to keep up.]

Of course. [This staff isn't for decoration. Or for helping her keep up, she's doing that just fine on her own] Not as well as some, but I manage.

[By the staff, it would be his best guess, and he's heard that term used more often than 'fonic artist'.]

Yes, I've heard it called that before. In my world, the term is 'Adept.'

Where I'm from, we call them fonists.

Fonists... Do they have abilities that are elemental in nature as well?

[Then the little light goes off.]

Oh, I didn't introduce myself. [A smile] My name is Mia.

[He nods.] There's six natural elements and one that's more or less unexplained. ...And you can call me Asch.

Oh my, six? We have only four that can be used to any real purpose.

...What element was that Psynergy you used? [A moment, and then a verbal edit.] That magic?

[dissonates]

That was Stalagmite- Earth element. [Man, he can't imagine being limited to only four, even if he only ever uses four in his fonic artes. The potential to learn more is a useful thing.]

[frost_jewel]

Ah, so your element is Earth. [because in Weyard you only get one naturally.]

Are you a warrior, in your world? [sword, Venus spells, stoic disposition - he and Felix are similar.]

[dissonates]

Don't misunderstand- I used an earth element, but that's not my limit. I have control over all seven. [....] And I'm a soldier.

All seven? [Her expression bypasses mild and goes straight to surprise.] You must be quite powerful. Do all soldiers receive such training?

It's not a matter of training. Seventh fonists are born with their abilities, and they're very rare.

Ah, I understand. How fortunate for you. [Unaware of any irony in her words, Mia's just smiling. She gains back Psynergy as she walks, so to an extent she doesn't seem as tired anymore.]

[He scowls at that, but doesn't respond. He'd rather not get into just why it isn't so fortunate, thanks.]
