Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[Indeed they do! Caesar is actually quite pleased to hear this. He smirks.]

Is that so? I was just thinking that I would like to get a better look at it myself.

And you most definitely cannot go alone. Would I be correct that coming with us is the favor your wish to ask?

[He's already running through in his mind how this could work. True, he doesn't have as much experience with escorting civilians, even if Caesar isn't truly a civilian. But the fact is that if it came down to it, the best the strategist could do right now is some self-defense and escape. But Leonhardt does have his shadows and then there is also Earth Guard that could be used to prevent injury.

Yes, it does seem doable.]

If it's no trouble, I would very much like to accompany you. It's an opportunity I'd really rather not miss, you see.

It can be done. You know enough to defend yourself if needed and be able to escape. It shouldn't be needed, however.

I will leave one of my shadows here so we aren't reducing the numbers here too much.

[And all of a sudden another Leonhardt will appear at his side. Likely a bit creepy to see in action, but damn useful.]

[It's very strange to see, and Caesar's smirk twitches a bit. Still, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. Strange as it was, it was helpful, because it meant not reducing their numbers too much for the sake of his safety. He definitely had no complaints with it.]

I'm ready when you are. Where's Joshua?

I was just about to go and find him. He should be close at hand.

And one more thing...

[Leonhardt quickly casts an art on Caesar, just Earth Guard, which may well be easily identifiable since it does look very similar to an Earth Rune ability, but far stronger.]

That will protect you from the next attack done to you. If things go well it should not be needed, but it should serve well.

[Caesar nods, appreciative of the efforts that Leonhardt's putting into precautions. It's always good to work with people who know what they're doing. In the meantime, he'll just wait for him to find Joshua.]

[Finding Joshua shouldn't take particularly long. Right now, he's with one of the maintenance droids in the area, having it recharge his scanner. He's been burning through charges alarmingly quickly, so that's not really much of a surprise.

...He doesn't really seem that much worse off than he did on the first day, beyond starting to seem a little bit tired. Huh.]

[Joshua being tired is understandable, however. While they can get some rest, it's maybe only a couple of hours here and there.

But once he spots Joshua he'll head over in that direction and motion for Caesar to come along.]

Joshua, Caesar Silverberg and I will be heading to the Underground City and I would like to have you come with us. Another to make sure he remains unharmed would be most helpful.

[And obviously there is the unspoken words of "and there's no one else here I trust more than you."]

[Caesar follows after Leonhardt, nodding in agreement at what he says to Joshua. He already knew that they knew each other well, but anyone who Leonhardt wanted to join them was probably more than reliable. He wasn't too worried with them around.]

I'd really appreciate it. I think I'd feel quite safe with the both of you at my side.

[As soon as Joshua notices Leonhardt and Caesar, he turns his attention to them, keeping quiet until they finish speaking. He's not sure if he's too keen on heading toward what's essentially enemy territory, but...]

Sure. I don't mind going with you. [The others should be fine for a while even without them, and he'd really rather make sure nothing happens while the two head off to the Underground City. He still thinks it's a risky idea, but with all three of them going, it at least shouldn't be that dangerous.]

[It's risky, but the two of them have handled some pretty risky missions too. If worse comes to worse, they can escape.]

I have left one of my shadows behind. If something happens we should be able to return quickly enough. Let's go ahead and get going.

[With that, Caesar starts heading toward the tunnel where the barricade was before it fell. It's the first time he's heading down this way himself, but with fewer enemies around by this time, he doesn't seem too concerned.]

We shouldn't be gone too long, anyway. It wouldn't be smart to go too far when it's just the three of us.

[And Joshua will tag along, stashing his scanner away for the sake of drawing his blades instead. In response to Caesar's words, he gives a small nod of acknowledgment before speaking up again.]

You're right. But we'll probably be fine as long as we avoid large groups. [Three to five at once they could likely deal with, especially if Leonhardt can use his Body-Split Craft, although it's still somewhat dangerous. But a much larger group than that could be a problem... and that's all still without factoring in the chance of encountering elites or shifters.]

[Leonhardt definitely has his own sword out and ready because they can meet up with any thing at any point. He looks towards Caesar.]

Stay between Joshua and I. I'll lead, Joshua takes the rear guard. We'll be fine as long as we avoid large groups and the base isn't attacked. Follow my movements as much as possible so we can avoid fighting more than needed.

[Because yeah, he can concentrate on fighting in two areas at once, but it's a lot harder since he's having to keep track of things in two places. He's done it the past few days, but it's not easy at all and will slow him down.]

[As curious as Caesar was, he wasn't quite willing to risk his life for this. Even so, he'd done things like this enough on his own to already know a few ways to get out of this. Their company was like insurance.]
