[Someone's definitely approaching, though he's not human. One of his own katana drawn as he moves. Ever on the ready. He's wearing bandages, but it's not for medical reasons. Rather his attempt to protect his wings. It worked last draft he was in.

He'll round the corner and halt, when he sees the tense and injured ronin.]

Goemon?

Sh.

[The samurai cut him off, remaining locked in his attack stance.

His eyes narrowed further as if displeased at Leonardo's appearance – but he was in the midst of palpating the air with his sixth sense as best he could, and sensed others moving in from the edges of his awareness.

After a moment, the sound of clattering and rustling carried through the tunnel, dimly at first.

He moved towards the wall again, motioning – likely needlessly - for Leo to do the same with a grim jerk of his head. If allies were advancing, there was no harm done in attempting to be inconspicuous; and if these were enemies, they could then effectively catch them off guard.

While he had never witnessed him fight before, Goemon was inclined to believe that a man - er, warrior - with two swords would not carry both on his person if he were not capable of wielding them with some degree of expertise. Exceptions existed, of course, as with showy, boastful types - but Leo did not strike him as being either, from what he knew of his manner.

[Leo goes silent. His own warrior instincts kicking in again once the surprise is gone. He's listening and using his own feeling for the chi of the third party members, or their own group. He's always been the turtle who was the most aware of his surroundings.

He'll move against the wall, eyes narrowing. He usually fights with just one sword, though he'll use two if needed. But you won't see him bragging about it. Not after he got his shell kicked by Splinter once, for bragging about his swords being the best weapons ever. He'll keep his katana unsheathed as he knows even that click could resonate. He's not seen Goemon fight either, but if the bodies up the tunnel are any indication Goemon's definitely a guy you want on your side. He drops into an attack stance, tensing up. These guys didn't sound like any of their allies.]

[With his hand hovering steady over his sheathed blade, itching to draw, he listened intently for the footfalls of several people closing in, unconsciously counting the seconds before the first would wander blindly into their range. His breathing was slow, deep, carefully controlled.

The moment he caught a glimpse of the tip of a spear and then the golden helm of a Third Party grunt, he sprang from the side, Zantetsuken sliding free with a rasp of metal and slicing through a man's leather cuirass near-simultaneously; it was difficult to repress the powerful kiai that so often surged from his belly, but he made an effort to keep his jaw clenched as not to draw a greater number of enemies to them. His attention swiftly shifted towards the others.

Some half a dozen soldiers were suddenly lunging at them, teeth bared, with more poised for attack in the back ranks.
