DRAFT LOG #2: The Battle Game!

What: Fighting bad guys!
When: Today (after 12PM) to the 19th, in the evening
Where: The Mining Facility
Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[The more they fall, the less Cecil fights. Scanning is more useful in the long term, and Kain appears to have little need of his help. he does take the time to smack an incoming soldier in the face with his shield, though.]

[Kain is getting a good many stabs at them, managing well despite the location. Their numbers are dwindling fast but he's not going to stop until they've dealt with them all.]

[Far be it from Cecil to interrupt. But he does cast a few Libras, just so Kain can see how far along he is.]

[That definitely helps, so Kain knows which ones he can pick off and which he needs to go after more.]

[By now, Cecil is done with those that have collapsed. He turns around, sword in hand, looking for foes to fell.]

[There should still be some for him, despite the fact that they're dropping fast. Kain is only now starting to slow down a little but he keeps going.]

[How nice to keep some for him, Kain. He attacks the one closest to him, but by now it's no contest.]

[Only a few stragglers left... Kain doesn't have any problems in dealing with them.]

[He waits until the last has fallen to speak.]

...They'll have to run out of soldiers, at some point.

[Kain holds his spear up a moment, listening and watching. Then gradually he'll lower it so he can reply.]

They never seem to.

...Just like those girls...

[Except without the identicalness and the Meteor. He appreciates that, even if he doesn't look very happy.]

[Kain gives him a look, what does he even mean by that.]

...It's nothing.

[And Kain might not want to poke him about it when he looks so uneasy.]

[Ok, right in the middle of enemy territory is probably not the best time to continue to poke about such, so he'll let it go.]

[He starts looking around for more enemies, just in case. An avoidance tactic, perhaps?]

[It's ok, the more he hears of the future the less he cares to know. Kain likewise looks around, waiting for the awkward moment to pass.]

...They must have an entrance point set up somewhere.

[Luckily, Cecil can channel the awkward into usefulness.]

[Kain is good with that, and indicates he's ready to start moving on to look.]

[Cecil nods back and starts walking.]

It'd have to be a chamber that can access the rest of the mine easily. Can you remember any?

[Kain considers that for a moment as they continue along. He points ahead, indicating a direction that could be promising.]

Good.

[Stalking off over there, looking very heroic and paladin-y. He feels a great need to be productive at the moment.]

[Kain doesn't blame him, and he likewise prepares for whatever they might fine as he heads along. He's feeling more confident about this situation now.]

[Cecil doesn't have confidence, not quite. But he has determination and a very sharp sword. That's enough for him.]

[Well, that works too! Kain continues to keep an eye out, also listening for other signs of approaching enemies.]

[He might have some trouble doing that, once Cecil starts talking.]

...Why does each draft take place in a completely different location? Is the war on this planet truly so widespread?
