New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

Grune doesn't often go to Seventh Heaven, but tonight, you couldn't keep her away. She loves parties and she loves spending time with her friends, and so this is one event she's not going to miss (even if, due to her inability to keep track of time, she isn't exactly sure what's being celebrated right now).

She'll be talking to just about everyone, friends and strangers alike. And if she sees anyone on the edge of things? Well, they'll have at least one conversation partner that night.

[Grune looks very pretty tonight, so while Yeager's chilling in Seventh Heaven he'll take the opportunity to approach her with a friendly smile on his face.]

I imagine it must be a long time, then? I feel for you. It has been not even a year for me, and there's quite a few things back home I already miss dearly.

Oh, are there? [She gives him a sympathetic look.]

[He nods.] I have a thriving business and two adopted daughters there. I suppose my daughters may arrive here at some point, but you know how it is. I can't say I particularly want them to be at the mercy of the Malnosso, even if I will be staying here for years.

[Ah, but enough with the depressing talk.] At least there are so many interesting people here, from so many interesting places. I do enjoy that~

Yes, and everyone here is so friendly. [And her sympathetic look turns into a warm smile.] If your daughters came here, I know they'd make lots of friends.

[Mm, that's a lovely smile, too.] Probably. There are a lot of girls around their age.

I have noticed that Malnosso must be fond of younger people. There's a rather disproportionate number of teenagers and twentysomethings here. I wonder why that is.

Oh, I don't know. Do you think we could ask them?

Maybe through the journals. I don't know whether they would respond. [Heck, there's a lot he'd like to ask them. He'll probably try contacting them soon enough.]

It is always nice to see individuals here that are a little older, a little...more mature, I suppose. [And he's smiling at her again. Oh, yeah, the fact that she looks like a busty thirty-year-old has nothing to do with why he approached her. Noooope.]

[She smiles back happily. Yeager is very cheerful! She's certain they're going to be wonderful friends. ]

[Can't exactly pull the classic 'can I buy you a drink'-type line in Luceti, but that's good enough.]

[Somehow, he was expecting that answer.] How about a drink? A lot of the cocktails here are nice.

[Those being what he's been downing pretty much all night, between here and Good Spirits.]

[SO OBVIOUS. And for a brief moment Yeager's tempted to troll and get her something really strong just to see how she reacts. But he decides to be nice and simply gets her a very fruity piña colada instead.]

Here you go. [He'll be watching her face all the same, sipping the fuzzy navel he picked up for himself.]

She accepts the drink quite happily.] Thank you, Yeager! This looks like a very interesting drink.

[To test it out, she takes a sip. ...Which is more like a mouthful. That she swallows down like water. Um.]
