New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[There's no better place to watch the show than up high, atop a cloud. While Usagi runs around, she might be able to see a cloud floating up near the roofs of some of the buildings.

And with the flickering and bright colors of the fireworks, she might even spot a strange, blue creature relaxing on said cloud.

Or she might notice bits of popcorn falling down and onto the ground. Dash isn't the tidiest eater. She's content to mind her own business, but once she spots Usagi making her hilarious faceplant, she peers over the edge.]

Hey. You okay down there?

[lunas]

[ She might have noticed the popcorn - Usagi and her food addiction. It's probably why she faceplanted in the first place, since it made her lose focus on where exactly she was walking. When she hears a voice though, she just lets out a slightly whiny sound in response. ]

My face hurts..

[wannabolt]

That's what usually happens when you faceplant.

[Ehehe... Dash knows this very well.

She'll go ahead and hop down from the cloud for a minute, hovering around in all her technicolor glory.]

What's the big rush about, anyway?

[lunas]

Don't you know what's happening? There's firework, firework! [ yes, she's rather excited about this to a point where it's nearly working herself up a little too much over it - she points at the sky. ]

I have to make sure to find the best spot in the village to see them!

[wannabolt]

There's gotta be somewhere you can sit and watch. As for me...

[She hovers a bit off the ground.]

I've got the best seat in the house.

[She points one of her front hooves up at the cloud she managed to bring down.]

[lunas]

Eeeh? You can sit on that, really?! [ her mouth drops open in amazement - perhaps some slight jealousy as well, yup. ]

Why can't I do that, it would be much easier to watch the fireworks that way!

[Heh, heh. That's the kinda reaction she usually gets.]

It's a pegasus thing. Back home, we're the only ponies who can do it without magic.

Wait, so there's also ponies with magic, aside from just ponies who can talk?! How many superpowers do you guys have?

[wannabolt]

Equestria's full of ponies. We make up pretty much the whole population, other than some of the smaller animals hangin' around.

[Translation: no humans.]

And everypony's got their own special talent. It's just that all pegasus ponies can handle weather-realted stuff, and all unicorns have magic based on their special talent. Earth ponies are really good with plants and animals, too.
