New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

First New Years in Luceti. Compared to New Years in New Yoek City, it's a lot more quiet. Despite the cold Leo's out watching the festivities. He'll mostly stick to the edges of the crowds, but he'll probably forgoe that for people he knows.

Shell, it's hard to believe that he's been here nearly a year. Where did the time go?

Where did the time go, indeed.

Robert stands next to Leo for a moment, using his body to block some of the cold that he knows has to be soaking into Leo's ectothermic body. He glances over to the turtle, smiling gently and watching the lights play off his face and flicker across his own glasses' lenses.

"... I... suppose these sort of festivities are... commonplace...?"

It's not something he's used to on Terra, that's for sure.

At least Leo's wearing warm clothes, for all the good it might be doing him. At least it's deflecting some of the cold. He's glad for the help Robert is giving him though.

"Well, they are on my world and probably others." He answers. "A way to say good by to the last year and look forward to the new year."

With no body heat to trap, it's probably not much. Still, whatever warmth Robert can provide should help...

He nods a little at that, though it's obvious the sentiment is foreign. "... A sort of... acceptance, I suppose...? Of what is to come?"
