New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

Well, you're certainly fast! You'll have to tell me when you're working here, so I know when to show up from now on.

Sorry, this is just for tonight! Miss Ginia's a friend of mine, and I wasn't doing anything else for New Year's Eve, so I decided to help out. Besides, I think the people you should really be thanking are the cooks who managed to get your order done so fast.

I'm sure they've just got used to me by now. [It's like having his own royal kitchen! Only Ling is wise enough to alternate restaurants, so they don't get sick of him.]

You always eat this much, huh? You must've had a lot of cooks back home working for you, then. [More than usual for a royal kitchen, anyway.]

The dinners were always big in the Yao home. But I don't always get big meals. So I try to eat plenty when I can. [Because then he just tends to. Forget. And then collapse.]

That makes sense. You have to store up energy for when you need it the most. [Though eating a lot is only partially out of practicality on Pao-Lin's part. Mostly she just likes to eat.]

[Frankly the same can be said for Ling as well. Food is just. Awesome.] Exactly. You never know when you might get stuck somewhere without food.

I usually try to carry something on me at all times, like an energy bar or something. But nothing beats an actual meal!

Energy bar? That seems like a good idea. [Except he could carry ten and he'd end up eating them all before he had need of them.]

Yep! Sometimes they don't taste too good, but they'll let you keep going. Anyway, I gotta get back to work, but I'll bring you your other dishes as soon as they get finished!
