New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

Yes, it is! It's built around a giant tree, and when it's in bloom its petals float over the city like rain.

That does sound beautiful... I wish I could see it sometime, especially since there's nothing like that on Naraka.

That's right. It's kind of pretty I guess, but nothing compared to Luceti or other people's descriptions of their worlds...

[But that's probably because it's war-torn.]

I'm sure it's very beautiful. Sometimes it's harder to realize the worth of things we see every day.

Well, the city I'm from is called Zaphias, the capital of the Empire.

Of an Empire... Regnum's the city I come from, and it's the oldest city in the world, and it's the capital of the kingdom of, um... Regnum. We have a king and everything, although I think the privy council controls most of the power and the king is more like a figurehead than anything...

Our Empire is ruled by the Emperor, with the power of the Imperial Knights, and the help of the Council.... though I believe the power of the Council is going to be reduced in the near future. [Considering the recent issues.]

Ours is waning a little at the moment [because they're all dead!!] but they'll probably still retain in their despite what they've done... New ones'll be better, maybe.
