Out with the old....

Who: Everyone
What: New Year's.
When: Dec. 31st, New Year's Eve, to Jan 1st, New Year's Day.
Where: Everywhere
Summary: It's New Year's, and the people of Luceti have a lot to reflect upon, and to look forward to. And on a more meta level, new journal names.
Rating: We'll see...

New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[ You can have one derpy headmaster working on perfecting his light show and otherwise pesudo firework display. Even if that doesn't require immediate help Madoka is still free to ask about it or inquire if he does!

There is crackling light that flickers and sparks between his hands as he eyes glow an oddly vibrant green. Nothing out of the ordinary for Luceti, nope. ]
happyends: (the promise we made)

[ Madoka is still admiring it all the same - she can't use any sort of magic, after all, so even the slightest display of it is already pretty to her. She quickly patters over, smiling at him. ]

Um.. hello, sir! Are you working on some sort of firework show..?
folklorist: (Oh is that right)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-05 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Helios blinks the light flying from his hand and swirling into the air before it breaks into a few tiny strands which descend towards the ground. ]

Oh! Hello. I-I am actually! Well more of a light show than fireworks! [ Helios smiles. ] Less bang and more light with mine.
happyends: (i can believe in)

[personal profile] happyends 2012-01-06 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That's okay! [ she still smiles as she nods a little. ] I mean, I personally like the light part of fireworks the most.. If there's a bang, it's sometimes a little too hard and it could scare some people, so I'd rather not have too much of that.
folklorist: (Do go on I'm listening)

Ah yes! Though it does add a bit of thrill to the whole thing. But, hm, not everyone is quite enthused about loud noises. I-I knew one person who wouldn't have been. She, um, had sensitive ears. [ A light chuckle. ]

Are you enjoying yourself?
happyends: (i'm the only one who's tiny)

Hmm, I am! It's a rather nice day, after all, and the atmosphere is always just really great on New Year's.. you can just feel how everyone is getting excited for the start of a whole new year, and everyone's coming together so it's really cozy.
folklorist: (I'm just your average headmaster yep)

It's nice to have people come together for something like this. [ because far too often it's the bad things they usually come together for. ] Something light hearted like this. It's...nice new years eve always is, really.
happyends: (i won't forget)

[personal profile] happyends 2012-01-09 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. [ a nod, rather happily. ] I'm glad that we can have something like this even in this place, that we can still all go and celebrate it together no matter what..
folklorist: (Sigh. Yes of course.)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-09 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
It truly is. The fact we can endure so much and still be able to celebrate things like this... [ a sigh. ]

It's amazing sometimes what a group of people are capable of.

[ Helios will just be looking up at the stars. Despite them not being anything he recognizes he still finds them just as beautiful as the ones seen back on Earth. ]
happyends: (more than i usually do)

[personal profile] happyends 2012-01-09 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It's just that as long as people are together, everything is much easier, isn't it..? [ she clasps her hands together. ]

It's easier to endure things as long as you can share both happiness and sadness.
folklorist: (I'm just your average headmaster yep)

Many hands makes light work as the saying goes. [ Helios smiles. ]

Endure it and learn together from it.
