New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[She'll be the only worrying about being swept up--he's already there. He's missed this, too--the way she touches his face, the way her hair brushes his skin--and it hasn't been so long, for him. But kissing her is still as wonderful as he remembers, and more. His arms pull tight around her, any semblance of space sealed away.

Does he ever have to let her go? He'd rather not. He could stay like this. Forever.]

And that's why she does, tilting her head back and moving to lay it on his chest because her heart is too full and if they kept going, would she be able to exist in that kind of desperation which drove her to his kiss? She isn't sure, and nothing is fair, and her body protests the abrupt cessation of sensation, but...
