New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

I have some tea bags somewhere...but it'd be kind of difficult to climb up onto the roof while carrying mugs, wouldn't it? [How to make this work...] Unless I went up first and then you just passed them to me before getting back up yourself...

[Pao-Lin leans over the edge of the roof a bit to yell something at Luca.]

All the food-related stuff is in the middle bedroom! Just check around in the shelves there and you should be able to find the teabags. Or the hot chocolate, if you'd rather have that.

[He gives an affirmative shout - hot chocolate, mm, that sounds much better - and... not too much later, he's peeking out from the window again with two steaming cups of hot chocolate.

(It has cinnamon in it too. ~Surprise~)]

Did I miss anything? Um-- here, the cups-- [Shiiifting as much as he can out of the window without having to use his hands and holding them up.] Careful, they're hot.

[Pao-Lin leans over and takes the cups carefully with gloved hands.]

Nah, they haven't started anything yet. [A thoughtful frown.] What time is it, anyway? [It's already dark, but that doesn't mean too much in winter.]

[He can-- manage to get back up himself, even if he's shaking a little when he sits beside Pao-lin.]

Um... I'm not sure... but it can't be too early. I'm sure they'll start up any-- [look, an explosion in the sky!!]

[Pao-Lin's eyes light up, and she claps.]

Whoah! That's so cool!

[Pao-Lin's seen fireworks before, but nothing as intricate or as detailed as this, with some of the light displays turning into creatures that prance through the night sky before fading away. Helios is sure having a lot of fun helming the pyrotechnics this year.]

[Fireworks aren't things he sees often - Ashihara isn't really part of Regnum's territories, not the way that Galpos or Naos is, and while they import them sometimes it isn't as often as he would like - so even if it had been nothing special it would've taken his breath away.

But seeing the creatures dance across the sky makes him grin and wonder if Ashihara has fireworks like this.]

It's wonderful... [And Pao-lin looks rather pretty with the fireworks' colors on her face, he notices out of the corner of his eye, and it makes him redden a little.] I'm really glad we climbed up here.
