New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[ Helios notes the other's closer proximity but it's fine. He doesn't move, though he does shift and he makes another light firework appear. It's just a glowing ball and it undulates in his hands before he throws it up into the air. ]

It is? You never celebrated the New Year back on Terra? No year end parties or even little get togethers to reminisce about the year?

[Don't worry, he's only here to watch - and get a better view. That lovely glowing ball of light is so fascinating to watch...]

... Ah... well, no... [Suddenly sheepish, Robert tries to explain.] Years are, er... rather very much the same sort of... thing. It is... er... as s-significant as celebrating any other orbital period, I... suppose...

[... And yet it doesn't seem to be as such here.]

I suppose you're right. But it's more about personal achievements being met and new goals being made. [ Helios smiles. ]

It was something to celebrate back on Earth but, well, lots of people didn't either.

I suppose if I were to... frame it as personal achievements, then... then there are some...

[And Robert can't help but smile a little fondly at that, back at Helios.]

... But... that would be a new thing. Still, I suppose it... gives this some meaning.

There are more than some, Robert. You managed to contact Nala on your own! That's certainly something to be excited and happy to celebrate about.

[ He'll make something else out of light now. How about...a small flying dragon? It'll erupt from the glowing orb nestled in his hand and flit and flicker around the two of them. Helios' green eyes just follow it with a childlike flicker in them. ]

As much meaning as you wished to give it. It doesn't have to mean anything at all, as long as you're enjoying the company present and have good memories to remember this first time with...I think that's more than enough for any holiday really.

[It's beautiful. Part of Robert wants to reach out and touch it, and curiosity sparkles in his eyes behind his glasses.]

... I am certainly hardly lacking on happiness, right now... even with everything that has happened.
