Who: Everyone! New Feathers especially.
What: New Feather welcome party!
When: Thursday, 5 pm.
Where: Battle Dome
Summary: IT'S A SUMMER PARTY
Rating: Worksafe, I reckon!
It's cold out there today, isn't it? Sure, it's not snowing but once you get into the Battle Dome, it'll be comfortably warmer. Warmer, not warm. Follow the tiny paper arrows and you'll probably find yourself in, well...summer!

It certainly looks convincing enough (a pool, a volleyball court, deck chairs, everything that you'd think you'd find at a pool party) and feels convincing enough (take off that coat! Aren't you hot?) so why not not step in? The barbecue's sizzling and there's some nice cold drinks at the cooler.

C'mon in, the water's awesome!

Helios will pause in his dragon creation to look back up at Ginia with a broad smile.

"Have any ideas off the top of your head?"
shadedsunlight: (Out where the dreams are high)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-27 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
"I think Tabernas has a nice ring to it. What do you think?"
folklorist: (Curiousity killed the cat you know?)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-27 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Tabernas...Tabernas. I think that sounds lovely." He'll give the sand dragon and affectionate pat on the head before he straightens and dusts the sand off of his clothes.

"It's amazing what this place can do." This technology! It is wondrous!
shadedsunlight: (Smile like you mean it)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-27 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Tabernas it is." Ginia smiles at the dragon and also pats him on the head.

"Isn't it? Maybe if this one is a hit, we can use it for future New Feather parties or other occasions. Imagine all possibilities."
folklorist: (Yes I do agree with that)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-27 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Helios nods looking around the area with shielded eyes from the artificial sun.

"It's amazingly detailed what this, erm, what technology can do. I-I never realized just how accurate it would be. But I think holding parties in here would be rather enjoyable. A different theme every cycle."
shadedsunlight: (I'm proud of you)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-28 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Beyond remarkable. I don't think it'll ever replace the real thing, no, but... it can get close. Still, we could have amazing parties. Perhaps an evening party, under a starlit sky? Or in a giant dome under the ocean?" She chuckles quietly and gives Tabernas a gentle rub under the chin.

"Maybe we should introduce Tabernas to Giles, give him a bit of company so he doesn't feel lonely being the only dragon around."
folklorist: (Never seen anything like it)

"An evening party under the stars...sounds rather romantic actually." Ah there he goes thinking. But, no, he will not lapse into such things at the moment. "I've heard about restaurants back on Earth that do that. It would be something to experience here though. I-I'm sure a lot of people in the village would be enamored with the idea." Helios watches, smiling.

"Yes. Maybe we should. I could always make a Night Fury out of sand." A smirk. "Or is that a bit too much you think?"
shadedsunlight: (Smile like you mean it)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-28 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
"Romantic, utterly fantastic, either or. It could be a fun event." Though with Valentine's Day looming just around the corner, a romantic evening could be dangerous and it doesn't seem right for an after-experiment cheer-up party. Well, there's more time to think on it. There's always the option of a dinner for two as well...

Ginia laughs at the idea of a sand Night Fury. "Not at all. I won't even get jealous if you make him a nice lady Night Fury."
folklorist: (I'm just your average headmaster yep)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-28 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Most things not run by the Malnosso are fun events." A wry smirk at that. "But I think it would fantastic to have, every once in awhile at least." Ah, yes, Valentine's Day is ever looming. Helios' ever degenerating feelings on the matter aside last year's wasn't...so bad. And he finds having such thoughts a bit jarring. Helios blinks and then laughs.

"Oh dear. I-I'm not sure if I even know what one would look like." He is uncertain as to how the differing genders work for these dragons. "But I think I could manage a dragon or two for him." Just to make Giles feel a bit more comfortable and because, uh, sand dragons. Sand dragons are awesome!
shadedsunlight: (Have you ever seen the lights?)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-28 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
"I can't say I'm an expert of sexual dimorphism in regards to Night Furies either. Oh! Could you make little Night Fury babies?" Because baby dragons! Who doesn't love baby dragons?
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-28 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"I haven't the slightest clue either..." well he can just make it look like Toothless then. This is a question best left to discuss with Hiccup.

"Baby dragons would be rather adorable." He is quite taken with the idea actually.
shadedsunlight: (Eeeeee!)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-28 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"Cute round ones? Wouldn't that be dear to see?" Ginia is already picturing all the happy little sand dragon babies and the cute is almost too much to contain. Awwwwww!
folklorist: (Peaceful: You wanted to talk?)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-29 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Helios' smile widens at that. Those sound absolutely precious. "I rather like that idea. Care to help me with a few, if you a spare moment that is?" He'll let you keep one around for the entire rest of the day.

"He can be your tiny assistant throughout the day."
shadedsunlight: (Have you ever seen the lights?)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-01-29 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ginia would have helped out regardless, but the promise of her own little baby Night Fury? Sold.

"Where do I start?"
folklorist: (Never seen anything like it)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-01-30 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Just make a small mound of sand, if you can. Magic will take care of rest." He sets off to make his mounds kneeling in the sand and scooping up copious amounts of sand into a steadily increasing pile.
shadedsunlight: (Smile like you mean it)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-02-01 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
She gets to work building up small mounds of sand. It might be a good idea to tell her to stop at some point before she builds too many little mounds for potential dragon babies.
