Let's get ready to rumble, boys and girls! A few quick notes:

Double check the fight roster--I moved some things around, namely matching up Firo with Homura since their respective opponents weren't able to participate. Let me know if something is amiss!

Characters who are fighting will be told their opponent's name upon arrival, and fights will proceed in the order they appear on the roster up there. Let me know if you need to be moved around for whatever reason!

Tony and Shikamaru will be policing the fights for any funny business, but fights will end when one of the participants forfeits or gets knocked out cold. So your character can get bloodied, bludgeoned, and broken and keep going if they wish! Remember, there's no magic since this is in the tunnels, and there are no weapons allowed in the fights. Just your fists, elbows, et cetera.

And should they have some owwies that need attention, Adele, Katara, Luca and Ange will be on hand to provide medical assistance. What troopers.

Spectators can interact however and whenever they want, so feel free to start a new thread for your character who is watching!

[Continued from Round 10.

Despite the wait, there's a couple of side benefits to having the last match (in his opinion). Now that it's over, with no one coming up to fight behind them, he doesn't have to move out of the way. Definite score.]

[Well, that was every bit as hard to watch as she thought it would be. But they'd given it their all and then they'd stopped just when she was on the point of shouting that it was enough, so - so that was what she said she'd come here to witness and help them through. But the instant the fight stopped, she wasn't waiting for them to get out of the arena.

She slides one hand along Masaomi's arm (that head wound looks nasty, but they just bleed a lot - he's still standing so Shikamaru first) - I'm not mad at you, just get out of the way - and tells him to] Step back.

[as she moves to crouch by Shikamaru, hands going first to check his pulse and then to the wounded side to lightly feel out the injury.]

Can you walk out of here, or do I need to get a stretcher?

[Fine, he can get back. He's still in awe of the fact he just won, and the pain is catching up with him. He steps out of the way, back, and is going to try to find a place on the wall to slump up against, apart from them.]

[He winces through his teeth when she touches his side like that, but tolerates it so she can feel it out. She'll find two are cracked when she does; his pulse is quick (having just gotten out of a fight and all), but still strong.

Give him a second to respond though, as he tries to catch his breath. He gives kind of a half-nod, watching Masaomi slink back towards the walls, before remembering to clarify.]

I can do it... [He's not so weak to need that stretcher - at least he tells himself so.] ...just gimme a sec.

[Or you know. Maybe five. He'll do it, though.]

[She bends her head to his chest while he's talking, to listen to his lungs. Nothing seems to be interfering there so...]

Okay. I'll help you up when you're ready.

[Because you'll be leaning on her, yes? Of course yes.]

[You'd think grudgingly yes, but not even that. He knows when he needs help, and he knows the value of teamwork, so sure. He'll take that with no complaint.

The smirk finally drifts off his face as he steels himself to stand, remembering to breathe through it all instead of gritting his teeth. There we go. Upright again sorta.]

[Well, she's a bit surprised at how easily she's coming along with her, but she won't look a gift horse in the mouth.]

Arm around me - nice and easy. It's not too far.

[He rolls his eyes but complies, using his free hand to wipe the blood leaking from his nose away from his mouth again.]

Stairs?

[She'll want to heal his ribs, he figures, which means going out of the tunnels. He's already angling his feet in that direction, anticipating that'll be the answer.]

[She senses implicit complaint, but there's also concern in her response.]

Stairs. It's not too late to get the stretcher.

[He shakes his head, and just keeps pushing forward.] I got it.

[By the time they get up those stairs, he's about out of breath, but he's not wrong. Between the two of them, he can manage.]

[She watches him very carefully for any sign of it being too much, but she figures if he can pull that kicking move, then he can make it up a few stairs.]

You can just lean up against the entrance here. Anything else besides the ribs and the nose?

Couple bruises... [He sags against the wall with relief, taking a mental inventory of the places Masaomi hit him and coming up with nothing else. His voice is becoming increasingly nasal as he talks, so he doesn't say much.] Nothing big.

[She flickers her gaze up to him and wonders about whether or not she should heal those bruises.]

I'll heal your ribs and your nose. Anything else will have to wait for now.

[She hopes Masaomi is at least pressing the cloth against his head wound, but she's not sure he gives him credit for that.

And she streams out some water to hold and move the ribs in place as she'll start to use Nala.]

This'll hurt a bit, but it'll be quick.

[Quick is good. Or... wait. He blinks and reaches out to catch one wrist, though there's no strength behind it. Just halting her before she's starts.]

[Blink.]

Don't... [He doesn't let go just yet; frowns. Then continues.] Don't heal them up a hundred percent.

[Frown.] Why not?

[Those words are in a very, very patient tone, but there's not much patience behind them. She does, however, assume that he has a reason. And it had better be a good one.]

I didn't sit through all this to not heal you.

[endgames]

Heh... I know. [He lets her wrist go now, and sets about making himself comfortable against the wall here.] I didn't come all this way not to learn anything though.

This was a lesson. [Straight to the point, though he keeps on having to pause for breath.] If you erase all the evidence... I won't have much to learn from it.

That's stupid. You don't need to stay in pain to remember how not to get that way.

No. I need it to remember why.

That doesn't make any sense.

[Overall, she's been very supportive, going on vagueness and 'I have to do this' from him, but now he's asking her for something that's almost unethical. This isn't what healers do.]

I never claimed it would. But it is what it is...

[He shakes his head. He really can't explain it any better than that without spelling it out precisely. And even then, he thinks it would still conflict with how she views her obligations as a medic. She might be more willing if he reassures her that he's not expecting her to do nothing at all.]

I just need them to smart for a week or two. As a reminder.

You've got plenty of bruises. I'll leave them alone. And I don't like anything about this, but it's not like I've taken an oath. If this is what you need, then I'll do it. But it won't be as much as you like. I'm not going to leave you vulnerable in case you get in a real fight.

[He'll take it, not really up for arguing at the moment. The bruises over the rib cage alone will take a while to get over anyways.
