Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

[He turns and smiles, gesturing around to the various chairs]

I think everything is pretty much ready. Obi-Wan and I have been getting it all together for some time now, so really, just have a seat and relax. Try some of the food. I managed to synthesize some stuff from home.

And I appreciate you coming. I wouldn't feel right about watching the story of my past without good friends around.

I think it's brave. If there was a movie about me... I don't think I would want anyone to watch it.

[She lets the words pass for simple shyness; but there are things in her past, things in the darkness, best left buried.]

I feel somewhat obligated to. It's apparently something that so many people here have seen that I feel compelled to watch it. I think, at least Ms. Leblanc, Lupin, and Gambit have all seen the film before. But I wouldn't choose to watch it alone, and I know Ben feels the same way."

[Thankfully, Luke's greatest darkness is well AFTER Return of the Jedi ends]

Maybe... think of it like a movie based on you. Not a movie about everything that truly happens.

True enough. Though, I'm certain I'm not the only person of importance in the film. Leia. Han. Chewie. Threepio. Artoo. A film about me...well...it wouldn't be complete without my friends and family, all of whom are very dear to me.

I'd feel the same. [Though she still wouldn't be comfortable with her friends watching it.

Maybe that makes her somewhat deceptive, wanting to hide the bad parts of herself.]

Well, I appreciate you coming. Obi-Wan and I also want this party to be a good time, so that maybe everyone can forget about the last week. Having fun and celebrating companionship tends to heal quite a lot.

Could you tell me anything about it? No, nevermind. I'd like to be surprised.

I think thats why we're here. To see these movies and enjoy ourselves, right?

Well, I really can't say whats in the films anyway. Supposedly, its the story of my life, but who knows? Someone mentioned to me that they had been changed several times, due to the editor.

I've heard there was an anime about Sailor V in another world. I suppose it wouldn't have been exactly like her life, either.

[A puzzled look, unfamiliar terminology detected...]

Whats an anime? And is Sailor V one of your friends?

She was a famous ally of justice in my world. The anime is an animated TV series. Like the movies, but just for short periods of time every week instead of a few hours right away.

Ahh, alright. So, in this other world Sailor V was a character, but in yours she is real?

She was real in both worlds, but, mine never had an anime like that.

Curious. The wonders of this land know no bounds. It sounds like there are several...alternate dimensions to your world.

Yes. And it seems as though it's not just worlds like mine. There are other people who've said similar things.

Well, it raises more questions about the abduction methods of our ever so kind keepers. Has there ever been a pattern of abductions? Traits we all possess? I know its a party, but it just occurred to me.

I've been thinking about it for a couple years, but there's no clear pattern. Some of us have certain powers, others have different powers. Some have no powers at all. There are children, and old men. There are all different types of world.

Which makes it all the more difficult...but, why don't we think about this another time, when there isn't a party?
