Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

[ Indeed you were, but Lupin isn't gonna voice this or make any judgements. Everyone had their quirks, psychologically included. He's just going to continue being cagey in the future.]

Well, me is supposed to not make asinine mistakes. Or be so. [she waves a hand.] Off. Others had it worse than I, and it's self pity, and I do not have the time or patience to indulge in it, but I do anyway and it- [Is. Well. Frustrating. She bites the inside of her cheek and shakes her head.] It helps no one.

[Headpoke. Lupin, patient and nice as he is, doesn't have the patience for this kind of thing.]

Stop it, Dellie. You're just gonna make it harder on yourself.

[Like before she blinks at the poke, staring at his hand. He was right. This wasn't the worst she'd endured. No one was at fault save the Malnosso. Nothing to be done about it, not now.]

...Why is it you poke my head? It is one of the stranger quirks I've noticed in you.

It's just for you specifically. You've been wandering lately, and you need a point of focus. If I poke you, you focus on my hand instead of your mind.

[A sly, teasing smile curls his lips and lightens his eyes.] Though, if I really wanted you to focus on my hand, I have other ways~

Am I to feel special that I wander enough to warrant a unique gesture, or embarrassed that my mind wanders enough to warrant...a. Unique gesture. It was less redundant in my mind. [She snorts and looks away for a moment, feeling...oddly light.]

Mm? Wait. [Head tilt.] ...what?

[Poor woman. Something completely different was clearly off with her. Lupin just smiles, only a little patronizing.]

...What are you doing on the fifth level, anyway? You about set the stairs on fire running down the last time you came here.

[fleurdesel]

...I'm here because I said I would be. [She shrugs, tucks her knees up to her chest and wraps her arms around her legs. She was sitting. She was comfortable. She was not on the goddamn fifth floor.]

I'm. Coping. It's...not so bad. Not really. I mean. I'm in the middle of the building. It is very unlikely that I will fall from here...unless the floor gives out. But I don't think that will happen.

[The thief's brows furrow as he puts two and two together.]

...you're on something. [It wasn't a question, but a statement.]

Prescription, and not one that I wrote for myself. [It takes a moment for her to breathe past the initial flash of anxiety, but once it passes she's more or less centered again. As much as she could be, at least.]

Oh /facepalm icon flub there!

[Panic attacks. Phobic. Lupin is just going to cover his face with his hand now.]

Of course you're on a perscription! [sigh.]

The key is to not thing--and meds don't help in the long run, you know. Best psychiatric treatments have counseling perscribed in tandem with pills.

Aside from the fact that he fell off a roof in front of me, the reason I began my association with Ben is because I hoped that perhaps he could help me with my phobia. We have not made much progress, as I have yet to be able to manage any kind of meditative state, but...I am. Working on this. More than I did before, to be honest.

[Ah, meditation. That wonderous and baneful thing to many a Western mind. Lupin nods sagely at this, fully understanding. Watching Goemon in his training and meditations for years taught him that it wasn't for everyone.]

Maybe you're doing it wrong for you. Stillness doesn't suit everyone.

Like it does not suit you? [She chuckles and offers Lupin a smile.]

Perhaps. I am best able to clear my head in a handful of situations. When I am playing the piano, when I am dancing, and when I am in surgery. Though...there was that one thing my father taught me, when I was young. It does not work everywhere, but. It does work, and seems closer to what it is Ben wishes me to learn.

Well, try the piano or the ballet then. Try whatever it was your dad taught you. Just do something to better yourself, since we have infinite time here.

I have suggested both of the former to Ben and he maintains that stillness is better suited to a wide variety of situations. While I agree, it has yet to sit. Then again, we have only just started. And I am a week behind. [She sighs and shakes her head, but other than that, lets it go. No more dwelling.] So after this I shall have to speak to him about regular appointments.

What ever floats your boat then--I'll never agree with the still method, personally.

[Not that he had right to judge or complain, seeing as he had taken an unlikely man as trainer only the night before.]

If it will help me find the same serenity he and Luke enjoy? I am more than willing to learn.

[She quirks a brow at Lupin, but lets whatever he is thinking of be. She's poked at him enough in the past month.]
