Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

Hm. That will...take quite a bit of explaining, actually. You do not have electricity where you are from, do you?

True enough. [A quick smile.] There are disks where video much like what you see in the journals is recorded, if a little more elaborate. They are played using the slim box just under the screen that was designed specifically for it. [Very, very, very pared down and simplified, but. If he wanted to know it in more detail she'd get into it after the movie.]

It is a...it is like a play, or an opera. It was made, in my world, for the purpose of entertainment. The more fantastic aspects were added in with a computer after the actors and their scenes were filmed. [How else to explain a 'computer' and digitally adding in effects?]

Ah...they were. Painted in? Later. Using another piece of technology.

Like...an illusion, yes. Like a trick. So they can make things they do not actually have appear. In my world, where these were made? Lightsabers are impossible to build. So they make long sticks that the actors actually use look like lightsabers after they film the actors with the sticks.

[He's saying this to himself more than anything else to get him to finally calm down enough to continue watching the film.]

[No. This is a play. Obi-Wan isn't an actor. He must be seeing things.]

It is. This was made in my world, where we thought it to be fiction. We had no idea that one universe to the left or so, it actually happened. The first time I met Ben I thought I was seeing things.

B-but... but how... h-how can it... b-but you said it...! [Gaaaah his head hurts!]

I am equally baffled. It is a fictional depiction of true accounts made filmed with actors that bear an uncanny resemblance to the real individuals involved in the...

[She trails off, blinks, and shrugs.] My train of thought. It has left me at the station, yes?

[Beast just stares at her. After getting lost in trying to figure out all that she just said, he has no idea what just happened.]

The. Music, is nice?

One thing I have enjoyed about these movies. No matter what it is onscreen, the musical score is always fantastic.

[Well he has to admit that he likes it, yes, Adele, but he's still so confused... what exactly is going on here? For a play on a screen, the stage is so... vast, with things he's never even come close to seeing in his life...!]

I think there are...novelizations? Books, based on the movie, that we might be able to find in the library here. If not I would be more than happy to answer whatever questions you might have between movies. And if I cannot answer them I'm certain Ben or Luke can.

B-books? [And then soon after he says this he realises what that actually means... oh. That... no... no, that can't happen. Sigh. So instead he switches to another question.] B-Ben?

Oui, if you've time and a mind for reading them. [Adele offers him another soft smile, blinking at the second question. Shaking her head at herself she laughs.]

I keep forgetting, I am sorry. Obi-Wan. I call him Ben, most often, apparently.

Oh, right... Obi-Wan. [He keeps on looking back and forth between the one near him and the one on the screen... there are two Obi-Wans in the room what.]
