Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

Actually, I was wondering why he seems to...lethargic, I guess. We were talking with Smoker over the journals, and Smoker refused to answer and Don didn't...couldn't?

Did I miss a memo somewhere? We've spoken a few times, and I thought he'd be all over this marathon thing.

... [He doesn't really like outing Don's medical problems to everybody, but...]

... E-Essentially, as... as an ectothermic b-being, Don has... a s-sensitivity to temperature shifts, and a... d-dependency on the weather that affect him more than... an endothermic species would...

Oh, so its his turtle-ness! Okay, that clears things up. Thought it might be something to do with that, but I wasn't sure. I'm no biologist.

[That small admission there made more sense of Smoker's cutoff. "Your bo--Robert" -- 'boyfriend' must be the words that was half concealed. Why else would they have been so close throughout the marathon? Why else would Robert, quiet and introverted as he is, live there if not for companionship?

It was kinda sweet, in a wierd, off kilter, squint-and-tilt-your-head kind of way.]

Yeah, that would put you in a good position to know that, wouldn't it? Must be tricky, if they're both like that...

Don't you get cold?

Ah... I am u-used to it... [It's actually at the point where he tends to find other peoples' houses a little warm, to be fair.] And... I can b-better handle a lower temperature th-than... they can handle a higher one, so I... w-would rather I be inconvenienced...

[Softly:] Besides, s-spring will be here soon, and... then this will no l-longer be an issue...

[... There will be a whole other set of issues, then.]

Yeah, it will start to thaw out in a few weeks now...

[He's curious and mildly befuddled at the sentiments, however. Different people, different cultures, and different circumstances is all he can attribute it too. Even if he can do okay on a sub in the arctic, it's not something he looks forward to with his lanky build. Cold gets him as bad as anyone else.

This place does have a way for throwing the impossible togehter, and for making crazy things happen. Never thought I'd run into actual magicky-magic that I couldn't mimic with some quick thinking before coming here.

...bonds can be made that would never be imagined otherwise. [Like with him and Smoker. Who would have thought that they could be friends, in that wierd little way?

Some people got benefit from these occurances. The idea made Lupin pause, with questions of morality and possibility heavy on his thoughts.]

[Robert, by contrast, is less bogged down in the morality and more enamoured by the possibilities. And as long as it's all mutual desire to be together and to cherish each other's company, is it really so bad even if it happened here, in Luceti?]

[Lupin doesn't have many nice words to offer to that, even if the sentiment is something he does understand. He sighs and answers with a small smile.]

Hopefully people can find the answer that works for them around here. It's a tricky balance, all in all.
