Summary: Relaxation, thawing, and socializing.
Rating: PG – PG 13

”This winter seems to be dragging on quite a bit, yes? I propose, well. Less propose and more invite, any who are of a mind to the Hot Springs to thaw, relax, and enjoy the curative properties they provide. Beverages and snacks will be provided.”

That announcement goes out early in the morning, and by the afternoon the party is at least set up, snacks, beverages, extra towels, etc, are provided for enjoyment and use for any that come. Villagers are welcome to soak in the springs, wash up in the bath house, or just sit on the side and enjoy all the healthy steam. Come up and thaw out after the ice storm and stave off the sudden cold weather!

Daisy's reasons not to go against pirates is that they aren't pirates operating against her factions, and therefore do not qualify as criminals within the UNSC. That, and military is forbidden from taking law enforcement duties. Unless it is Insurrection.

"It's a bible not only for military..." She remembers being told that even businessmen were taught to memorize it word by word. Spartans abide by it. "It's a lot of help in a lot of kinds of work..."

"Well, the Ancient Chinese knew what they were doing." And then some--history was a fun topic to study, even if he did it for the wrong reasons. Though not one to get into politics, he can't help but give some commentary. "Sometimes? It might be smarter if various organizations used Tzu's methods. Wars would be a lot quicker and cleaner in the long run."

Her mutter of approval. Oh, how many wars in human history had been extended.

"You're far from both the men's springs..."

Given he's in Daisy's particular one. Again, too steam-drunk to care.

"Actually? None of us could find signs that made any sense!" It was the truth, pretty much. They all had been doing as they saw fit.

"No one's really complained so far."

She opens her eyes. What.

"How is that going?"

Did someone get smacked across the face?

"Pretty well, actually."

He smiles at her. "The only one who looks like he might have a complaint is the one doctor, but he's not going to do anything about them. Everyone else is just here to relax no matter who they're sitting next to."

If it's a man, she doesn't quite expect something to end well.

They hadn't spoken, and he was innocuous enough to pass over Lupin's attention. Though, after today, he was curious enough about how a man could be so old fashioned...
