A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

[Simple curiosity, no more and no less. His impulse, enforced by Luceti with questions like these, is again to lie...but his career wouldn't be that far from normal in this setting, in this crowd. Lupin smiles.]

Luke here describes me as a rascal, if that gives you a few clues. If push comes to shove and this ends up being a permanent trip, it wouldn't be hard for me to find work.

[There would just be a million questions and more. And culture shock.]

"Ah, a mercenary and Foul-Weather Jack. An acceptable occupation. Have you any particular speciality?"

[Luke smiles as he listens to the Battlemaster questioning the thief. He figured that Lupin would be quite surprised to learn that of all people Kyle had once been an Imperial Officer, who'd turned sides for love...and money]

Actually? No one pays me. I specialize in acquisitions and infiltration, and I usually only work when something big is involved. I...do it for myself, really.

[At least, when described like this, his vocation as a prankster and thief comes across as less petty. He manages to relax at this, the knowledge that lecture and police involvment had been avoided doing wonders for his mind.]

[Kyle gives Luke a knowing glance, but says nothing more. Which is just fine because its about that time they reach the hangar bay]

Here we are, Lupin.

That-- [is bigger in person, but Lupin catches himself before he outright says it. He caught the glance, and was curious about it's meeting, but knew he was smalltime in comparison that that it probably didn't amount to much.

Instead:]

That is very impressive!

"Yes, yes she is."

[Both Luke and Han beam at Lupin.]

Just like I said, Lupin. You can always count on this old pirate and the old bucket of bolts he calls the Falcon

"HEY!"

[Han's false indignation...makes Luke smile even more. He'd missed his brother in law, more than he'd cared to admit]

I trust a lot of pirates and a lot of buckets of bolts--but this pair looks especially trustworthy.

[His grin is boyish and filled with an almost child-like excitement. Space! The final frontier!

Oh, wait. Wrong franchise.

Lupin chuckles. For some mistake, this was far from the worst thing that could have happened to him.]

"See Luke, SOMEONE thinks I look trustworthy"

[Now Luke can't help but laugh, of course]

Well, its a big Galaxy, you old nerf-herder. It was bound to happen someday!

[Lupin can't help but join in the laughter himself, amused by the familiar reparte among men he had no real history with to know any of this.

It was a fanboy's dream. Why not enjoy himself?]

I'm also a little predisposed to trust pirates with rustbuckets, so my opinion probably isn't the best to go by.

Still. She's beautiful.

"That she is kid. Lets go for a spin. Since it seems you've heard of me, and Luke says you should get a ride."

[Lupin doesn't say that he knows Han from some movies, doesn't say that he shouldn't even be here. Instead, he grins.]

That...is gonna be awesome!

"Sure kid, c'mon in"

[The boarding ramp comes down, and both Luke and Han, as well as Mara and Kyle stride up into the familiar old freighter. This bucket of bolts had saved all of them more times than they could care to count. No small feat for an old YT1300]

[Lupin normally would complain at the moniker--he's in his mid 30s, not that much of a kid anymore, but looking around made it clear to him that Luke was telling the truth. Many years had passed since the Battle of Endor, and it showed.

Instead, he tries to suppress his glee. It was a ride. On the Falcon. In SPACE. Sure, Fujiko and Jigen would never believe it, but he felt that he had bragging rights over this.

He follows them up the ramp, keepin his cool as best as he could. The open, no-questions-asked trust that they had in Luke was indeed impressive if he'd recieved minimal questions and joy rides were available on request.

It was impressive. Very impressive.]

[Its not long before they are taking off, as the ship had been prepared for departure some time ago. The level of trust may have been surprising to Lupin, but it wasn't for Luke. Han, Mara, Kyle, and the others had known him long enough to know that he would never joke about something like this. If Luke hadn't been into space for 5 months, they sure weren't going to question that either. He was a Skywalker, he belonged there.]

[He wants to wander the holds of the Falcon, he wants to find out how it works, he wants to know the science behind hyperspace travel so that he might bring the secret with him back home--but he holds back. There was so much that he wanted to know, but so little time. Even a malleable mind like his, with extreme flexibility and a phenomenal memory, wouldn't be able to process all of it.

Instead he sits, and tries to content himself with the view that he'd never see in his home and never be able to share with any of his friends. Oh, how he wanted Fujiko to be there, so he could kiss the shocked look from her face.]
